- I'm back at Dollar Tree, guys! And today I'm challenging myself to create a beautiful valentine gourmet style cake with cheap and limited ingredients! Now I'm definitely not the greatest baker, so hopefully this proves that anyone with a dollar store can do this!

I absolutely love The Great British Baking Show! The home bakers are amazingly talented and I love how supportive they are to each other. I did end up buying some of the cook books which have great recipes.
I notice that too! So different from an American reality show! Ooo! Maybe I will get a book and try some recipes! That would definitely be something new for me!

I used to do a blog in the old fashioned days, and loved doing dollar store challenges for craft projects.
With piping, you would normally want slightly stiffer icing, which can be done by adding powdered sugar until it has a good consistency. The cake turned out cute!
