Thanks for this video. It is one of the videos that I use to teach my high school HMong language classes students about HMong clothes. Keep up the great work! Thank you! PS, your mom's story makes me cry every time I watch it.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother side of the story it's very sad to hear these being told by elders. My mother also lost her mother and father during the start of the war and was adopted before the refuge times in thailand, her adopted familu came here first then got my mother into america and my dad's parents didn't get to come to america until recently but now we are all fully grown adults that arrived in usa in 1991.

Thanks for sharing your story! Truly heartbreaking to hear the struggles and pain that the hmong people (any all communities in general) went through but also so powerful to see them overcome too. 💓💓

There is a wrong translation in the video. The boat didn't flip over on its own. It was deliberately tipped over.

An amazing video. Sadly that most of the younger generations in the western world aren't interested in learning how to sew.

Paj Ntaub originated from Chu Dynasty. We must thank the Queen of Hmong who saved us from Emperor Qin Shi Huang/Huab Tais Tsheej Swv Huam.
He's a monster and an Adolf Hitler to the Hmong community for ethnic cleansing, burning our history and knowledge, killing our scholars, stealing the Rice Culture and the Phoenix, and forcing our Queen to marry him. She saved us by putting these clothes on to protect the writing and the embroidery so that it won't be forgotten.
