I've taken that University Park Metra to and from Chicago before and know that Kankakee area fairly well. You're a braver man than me for running along those country roads!

Yeah the cars drive pretty darn fast. Would recommend staying on the side roads to avoid thru-traffic. Dirt roads are typically slower and safer.
