- EDIT: Hi thanks for all the love and attention this video has gotten!! I'd love to continue and finally finish cleaning this up, but unfortunately work has kept me with very little time and energy to work on much of anything else. I'll keep chipping away at this when I can and hopefully be able to share an update with you guys sooner or later, but please don't try rush me or beg for more content, or comment on my other work asking about this. I promise you it won't make me want to work on this any faster.

Tbh the AVPM harry gives the vibes that he specifically insisted on sleeping under the stairs and his aunt and uncle are just baffled on why he tells everyone they force him to stay there. He's just all about the drama life
I love all the added details like Dobby, Hagrid, the wand shooting out lighting, the cat running through the alley, Filch, and the rest of the faculty

The sad thing is is that they'll just force her to covert to a 3D animator to save money or simply use her as a storyboard artist 😔
Disney doesn't really do passionate and expressive hand drawn cartoons anymore; always doing 3D or CGI, so personally, I'd look for a studio that specialises specifically in hand drawn cartoons. I would say Warner Brothers but they're pretty much trash to me now after TTG - but, not my choice...

I just realized that the scene with slytherin is one of those "draw your friends" and its totally awesome!
It was a toss up between that or having some other variation of chaotic energy! I think my initial draft had Malfoy on Goyle's shoulders as he ripped open the front of his shirt xD

Ron sliding down the slide is definitely one of my favorite parts of this. It’s an amazing animation!
The Slytherin frame at 9:35 had me CRYING, it's my favourite. I love it so far and I'm super keen to see how far you go. :)
Draco putting his foot up on Hedwig's cage is such a brilliant touch, oh my god that had me HOWLING. What a lovely way to introduce how extra Lauren's Draco is. And seeing Dylan's Dumbledore voice coming out of something that actually looks like regular Dumbledore is hilarious and great too. I'm so used to the super obvious tiny fake beard. :')
If I have any tiny idea to put forth it's that at around 7:14 a little tantrum-y foot stomp from Draco would be AMAZING.
Also I forgot that Cho's voice in the studio version was Like That until it was already happening fksjdjsjx god bless.

Please tell me that this project hasn't been discontinued. I just rediscovered it after four years when I saw the first update. I am absolutely in love with every aspect of it and remember watching in awe and still do. The Harry Potter novels and movies bring back an unbelievable amount of nostalgia for me and I still adore the series. I would be heartbroken to find out that this project won't go on.

@@shootingstarbit we had to change the script a bit - mostly the swearing and change the every day pop references. we changed Zefron to Harry Styles at the time.

I haven’t seen anyone point this out yet but I love how you added the extra sounds to the song (pages flipping, zipper, footsteps, etc.) idk if I missed it in the earlier animatics but now that I’ve noticed them it completely elevates animatic
A few people have mentioned it! That was done by one of my old college roommates. She got busy in more recent months but I'm hoping she can come back and finish adding some more
the way you DIRECTED THIS holy shit i love the choreography and how it perfectly fits the vibe of the musical and how it seamlessly transitions between locations & scenes i LOVE IT!! keep it up!!
Ah thank you!! I'm def proud of how those transitions came out, making the scene shift locations but still feel natural with the pacing of the song was a challenge going in

There’s not that much AVPM content anymore so I was so excited to see this, and I really hope the Star Kids see it too

Aaaaaaah this is so good! Your art style is absolutely lovely and everyone looks so cute, which makes it even funnier when they're acting like little monsters (punting Dobby killed me.) I love all the little touches and details that are in here even as just an animatic, like Harry bumping his head on the cupboard ceiling, Hermione flipping off Draco, the selfie with the professors at the staff table, and Filch and Mrs. Norris being so cute!
