The Mahindra Thar is a compact and mid-size four-wheel drive off-road Jeep CJ-like SUV manufactured by Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra Limited. The vehicle was launched in the Indian market on October 4, 2010 to fill the void left by its predecessor the Mahindra MM540. The Thar has been voted one of the top 10 SUVs available in the Indian market.[citation needed] Three variants - DI 2WD, DI 4WD and CRDe, are available with soft top version.The Thar also comes with a 7-seater option, though it can be converted into a two seater.
On March 2, 2018, Mahindra Automotive North America unveiled a variant of the Thar for the United States market called the Roxor at its assembly plant in Auburn Hills, Michigan. It is assembled from complete knock-down kits. Unlike the Thar, the Roxor is not street legal, and is positioned as a Side by Side off-road vehicle with a top speed of 45 mph. The Roxor is powered by a 2.5L turbodiesel four-cylinder engine producing 62 hp and 144 lb-ft of torque, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. An automatic transmission is available as an option. It is only available with two seats, a 148-inch body length, and a 96-inch wheelbase.

The thar we have in that there are two doors in back of the car,automatic mirrors,touchscreen infotainment system and a smart key with three buttons on it
Instead of buying this brand new at such an exhorbitant price, I would buy an army auctioned MM550 NGCS in very good condition and convert it into a much better THAR. It would still be a much cheaper and viable option.
the price of the Thar CRDE is Exhorbitant and excesss........
it should be as:-
1.Thar Crde:-Rs 8.5 to 9 lakhs
2.Thar DI 4WD:- Rs 6.5 to 7 Lakhs
3.Thar DI 2WD:-Rs 5.5 to 6 lakhs.

For the amount of money this costs with a hard top, its better to buy a duster awd rxz. Its not everyday you go for offroading and its a horrible vehicle for day to day use. Out of 365 days, if you off road for 180 days, its a useful vehicle. Otherwise, just too expensive for what it offers.
Devaansh Patra I agree. No car tugs your heart like the that does. If you are very serious about getting one, you can also modify it for rs.2 lakhs and make it more comfortable.

Roadmatters Videos Bro, I totally agree with you. I own a duster AWD RXZ Adventure edition and it’s a very practical car. I use it for daily ride to office and sometimes for off-road. Thar is a good off-roader, but you dont go off-road everyday
That's is why Dusters sells because people can't handle a Jeep, it needs to be passionate and Duster needs a driver.

बस कुछ कमियों को छोड़कर
जैसे कि पहली कमी जो की सबसे बड़ी
कमी है सस्पेंशन इसकी वजह से पूरी गाड़ी बहुत ज्यादा हालती है

Jeep Wrangler is 5 door so it is easy to get in back seats but thar is 3 door and u more people can fit on bench seats. And cost of Wrangler is 70 lakhs
