The original movie that started the whole "Chucky" franchise was Child's Play (1988). I'm not going to claim that the whole movie is filled with brilliant symbols, foreshadowing and easter eggs like I normally might boast for an episode of Things You Missed. At the end of the day, this is a crazy movie about a killer doll.
With that all being said, I did notice some interesting things you might have missed, such as an unintentional references to Child's Play (2019), Charles Lee Ray's original plan, and how he might have altered it in the movie, a possible connection to the eventual sequel, Child's Play 2, the origin of the Good Guy doll and more! These are the Things You Missed In Child's Play (1988).

About Child's Play
When serial killer Charles Lee Ray is mortally wounded in a police shoot-out, he uses a voodoo spell to transfer his soul into Chucky, a "Good Guys" doll. Young Andy receives the doll as a birthday gift, and Chucky soon resumes his killing spree. However, Charles doesn't want to be trapped in the body of a doll forever. His only escape would be to transfer into the first human he revealed his true identity to... which places Andy in mortal danger.
Time to play. The full trailer for Child’s Play is finally here. From the producers of IT comes a modern reimagining of the horror classic. Child’s Play hits theaters June 21.

if youre actually curious: voodoo dolls are often actually used in healing rituals, either for oneself or others.
Like all forms of rituals it’s based solely on the user’s intent. In itself they are neither good nor evil. Just a tool. People’s fear of them are based solely on media which heavily skews the religious practices of much of the history of bipoc community.
Andy was making breakfast for his mom. He’s 6 and was actually being thoughtful.

1. As a doll he got shot in the heart.
2. His body was tinyer and i think because of that his parts contain more blood. I dont really know how that works though.

Part 2 is not true, but it still makes sense because the tinier you are the faster your blood flows through your body. Chucky is about (This is an estimation by me.) 60% the size of Andy. Andy is a small child, and is WAY SMALLER than Charles Lee Ray, so I'm pretty sure his blood flow is pretty fast. So the blood is going to the heart fast so that equals more blood. (This might be incorrect i'm not sure.)

About Andy’s mom knowing about the doll it was pretty obvious that when getting a good guy toolbox they would want a doll
I once had a My Buddy doll. After watching this movie I put it away in my toy box. In the morning I would wake up & find it on the edge of my bed. Scared me 2 death. Later found out my dad was pranking me 🤣🤣

I literally had a My Buddy doll when i was a kid. I wasn't allowed to watch scary movies so I would stay up super late and secretly go through channels until i saw a scary movie. Child's Play was one of them and after watching the scene where Chucky attacked Andy's mom and she threw him in the fireplace, I turned it off and went to bed. I was forever scared of my My Buddy doll and my new random fear alerted my mom as to what i was doing at night so she would remove my TV at night. Rough times, but now i love this film lmao

Still a classic. For me, its just Child's Play, 2, 3....maybe Bride but that's it.
Out of the trilogy I'd probably go 3 as my favorite, then 2 and 1. If we're going full series, Curse of Chucky is my favorite.
I think part 3 is underrated.

Andy with a Good Guy's face at 0:49 is hands down one of the creepiest and funniest things I've seen in a long time. Well done.
I have to disagree about chucky bleeding more in doll form. In the beginning after Charles is shot when hiding in the toy store they show quite a bit of blood on him and leaking from him as he's transferring his soul into the doll.
Ok I know this is a HUUUGE stretch but maybe the reason he bleeds more in the movie is all the blood in his human body is confined into the dolls body? We do see he turns more human the longer he's a doll.

One thing that also leapt out at me is the fact that they end up assuming Andy's Mum did the murders right? But she couldn't have killed Aunt Maggie since the Police literally saw her arriving back home to a house full of cops. So who did they suspect of killing Maggie then? Andy? or maybe Suicide? But who would commit suicide by literally jumping through a window while in the middle of babysitting someone?

Another thing that a lot of people missed, if you look again at the first scene when Lee Ray is being chased, Mike drops something like a cloth, it actually a dress, cuz there is a deleted scene with Norris dressed as a woman to distract him

Play Partmers name change could have been the result of a merger between movies. Many companies will change their names when they merge. the result is a merged name of the two companies becoming one.
Also, original purpose of a voodoo doll was explained as a protection spell. Doll stays safe and so do you. Someone were to find and harm the doll is where things usually go wrong.
