Well lookie here, it's my favorite D&D RUclipsr working on what is becoming one of my favorite 5e adventures! I started the adventure using your 1st method as the characters where already high level. My group is about to tangle with Gideon in Elturel's graveyard. I do like your idea of having the PCs hanging out in a tavern in the 1st session in Baldur's Gate OR Elturel and then having it all go South. Literally. I could imagine the PC's overhearing a disgruntled dockworker mutter "This whole place is going to Hell" and then BAM! There you are! Fine work as always Sir.

Not going to play it right away, but I like both #1 and #4, thx for the ideas
Or you could use parts of Pipyap Guide of Hell especially part one. But I do like your suggestions.
Are you going to release a full walkthrough?
Using dead npcs from the first chapter can help too. I’m planning to put the Vamthapur family as warlords in Avernus
I saw the burnout video, but I'd still like to ask, are you going to continue this series?
id certainly like to, but it may be much later down the line. life keeps getting in the way darnit!
@@NoFunAllowed That tends to happen, no worries!
This man is psychic! Decent into Avernus is the next campaign I have lined up after Rime of the Frostmaiden!
The idea of starting in a basic tavern just to have the entire city fall into hell when they try to leave just sold me on the book
