After the DEATH GRIP. The "cliche 'DEATHGRIP' chug chug chug breakdown". It's actually pretty unique, especially for metalcore. And this is about someone who's realized their decision to deny Christ led to their eternal death.
+Beowaffle42 I can appreciate the concept, the lyrics, the production, I love Ryan's vocals, they're drummer stepped his shit up 10 fold, just can't get into the writing. Which sucks because I didn't listen to any of the singles they dropped because I wanted to hear the project as a whole and was pretty disappointed:(
6,7,8,9 remind me of creation|destruction I love those. Some others have parts of greatness, other than that there's not much to say of this record. Just my opinion tho.

I'm not really a religious guy (I don't believe, but obviously I respect those who do), but damn, these guys blew me the fuck away with this album. Can't go a day without listening to it. And the lyrics... Holy fuck the lyrics...
Like, the epic and esoteric (for me at least) content in them, combined with the heaviness of the album makes it such an epic record., and I really love the lyrics in a literary way too.

I discovered this band in 2018 when i was planning on seeing August Burns Red in concert Feb 2019, and FFK were one of the opening bands. I like to know the songs that are being played when i go to a concert, so i made a Spotify playlist of all their music - including ABR, Crystal Lake, and Miss May I, who were the other bands in the line up. FFK became my favorite band and i ended up being more excited to see them than ABR haha! They were phenomenal live!

This album is phenomenal. Stacking Bodies, Dead Memory, and Shadows & Echos are my 3 favourites. Not gonna lie, wasn't a huge fan of Slave to Nothing, as far as the cleans went, and was a little concerned, but this album seems to have improved them quite a bit. So I suppose you could say I'm "Hooked".
Hayabusa bro... shadows and echoes, hits home. stacking bodies is just brutal and this song is lethal. my first album I've owned by them and it was worth it.

Des West There aren't any actual satanic bands that achived mainstream success. They maintain cult followings (pun not intended), and never reach anything beyond that.

They're not just saying it to say it for no reason. The song has meaning and it fits well to say "deathgrip" almost as a way to release one final word that brings the whole album to a rest, or a close. I really like it and I feel that artistically, it's really great. Maybe you need to listen to it a few more times to get into it, like I know I do sometimes with some albums, maybe you'll never like it, but I hope you see where I'm coming from. We probably have two very different opinions here. Though I'm glad to share my thoughts on it.
