Whosoever wrote the lyrics for this album, presumably Adrian, was clearly a student of esoteric philosophy. That’s why the message conveyed is so powerful. This version of Northlane can’t be beaten ever, good times.

Dream Awake and Quantum Flux are one of the best songs that exist. The vibe of these songs is still incredible. I mean, I still dig Northlane (of course), but Adrian was the goat.^^ I wish, I had the chance to see him live back then.

+MF-Penguin_ its different indeed, actually they said that they will be a new northlane, and its good, marcus is really good, but its not the same hardcore metalcore music, is something more like old post harcdore metalcore with dark sounds like deep guitar effects or things like that, is a whole new sound, but for me is a better thing. the album before node sounds like a bmth album.
I think both vocalists are great in their own right. Everyone is different so you can't expect them to be the same. Sometimes people leave bands and that doesn't mean the whole band wants to break up so sometimes you're going to have to give the new ones a break, they are obviously not going to be the same person.

Brett Eggers At times I’m split, sometimes I prefer Adrian, sometimes I prefer Marcus. I love the NOSTALGIA of the original Northlane, even though I was late to the party. At the same time I get what they are trying to achieve with Marcus and their current sound. I’m still really excited to see what they are working on with the new bassist. I completely get what your saying about old Northlane not being comparable because the lyrics were very Intuitive and the combo of Adrian’s screams over the backdrop of those simple chuggy grimey riffs is something to behold. They still pump out awesome music though with a great message. Rot, Intuition, Paragon, Zero-One, Solar, Node, Ra, Weightless are all great songs that are up their with some of my favorite old Northlane tracks.

The wisdom this album gave all of us that listened is priceless. Every song nailed it with ancient wisdom singing through each instrument/vocal. No album will come close in my opinion, to capture such metaphorical, spiritual, and cosmic teachings. "realising my life was my dream all along" --- that is just poetic brilliance. We don't know that that is exactly what happened. However, the article about Northlane on Wikipedia said that Adrian did leave because of health-related issues, and they soon recruited Marcus Bridge on vocals.

Everyone who says these guys are like bmth need to listen to their discoveries album. As much as i appreciate bmth's new direction, instrumentally northlane is quite different, the yells that Adrian did on singularity are similar to oli's vocals yes, but his low growl tone is wayyyy too unique for that. Adrian's higher pitched yells or screams were actually screams and not so much yells in a lot of the discoveries album "ëxposure" he goes really high so compare THAT to oli's yells. The yells are similar but instrumentally these bands aren't alike.
Adrian was/is probably the best vocalist in the game besides cleans, imo.

I think when Adrian left the band wanted to try something new and make something a bit heavier to test the new guy Marcus out. I think Rot was pretty good but they lost a lot of melody it seems. Marcus is a beast of a vocalist though. I think the band was just a little more comfortable with Adrian hense the slight loss of melody.

I’ve always felt that when you the frontman of a band, you need to change the name of the band as well, because it’s not the same band, and it will never be the same band. This goes for every single band, regardless if you’re gonna play old songs that included the old frontman. I will always feel this way.

the lyrical genius and motivation in these guys words are inspiring and igniting.. this whole album is amazing in a lot of ways. Lyrically I see it as phenomenal.. These are a small example of the powerfully uplifting lyrics this band's moral character represents. Amazing, especially when you read along with the words being brutally screamed/honest at you.
