Just made a deal and I will be picking up my 1970 scout mail truck next weekend. I say your video and subscribed instantly. I will be watching to see what you do with it and retrofit solutions you go with. Im also interested in buying take offs I’m in central Texas
Why so anxious to change out the axles? I have a 62, not problems plus it has a locking rear end from the factory. Under the tail lights are always dented. Hard to straighten as there is not much room to get behind that panel. You are right about parts under the hood. Most of the missing pieces can be found online. Right hand drive. Not many around, that might explain the missing steering box. Seats do look Bronco or Mustang. The cable under the hood looks like it may have operated an automatic transmission?? No clutch pedal visible. Maybe that cable goes in the hole on the far right of the dash. 2 wheel drive? Have fun with the build. People love seeing these. Remove the star, take off the top and put on a half cab top. Good luck.
Those are original seats... That Scout is worth all the money.
