Hey PJ -- Ever seen an HPC MAC-CM Make-A-Card (F/1200CM)? I found one recently at a locksmith swap meet. I'd been cutting ASSA Twin V10 keys with a paper card I printed, and after destroying a few V10 blanks, I figured out where the spacing & depths were off a bit. When I found the HPC Make-A-Card, I created a card for the ASSA Twin series and now I cut perfect keys (as you know, ASSA keys can't be off more than a thousandth of an inch or so, especially in spacing). Not nearly as fast as printing a card, but it comes with blank HPC Cards that you mark on with it's micrometer calibration pointer ruler -- works great, very accurate (dated on box 4/30/99 by HPC label) - another way to make a card (have no idea if its a current product) By the way, do you have a printer on your truck?
Hi Ken, I just called HPC, they said Make-A-Card is no longer available... When I was locksmithing (have not since 2005ish) I did not have a printer on my truck. Great info, thank you for sharing!
I've never done them on card stock, considered it, never did it sort of thing. 99.99% of the time my paper one's come out fine, but I've got a trick up my sleeve. A Guillotine style paper cutter. I use it for other projects outside of locksmithing, but it works great when I have to cut out cards... Think I paid about $20 for it at Staples. If you print a lot of cards, it's definitely worth the investment. Also I've found that the inside "notch" can be overcut a bit, provided your sides are perfect, this helps it line up a little easier.
That is such a good idea, that way you just have one cut and there is less chance for messing up the card! Also, less time spent cutting. Thanks Derek!
@@clksupplies It's one of those things I prolly never would have thought of if I hadn't already had one, so I figured I'd put it out there for other folks.
😳 and to think we just ordered a card for our HPC. Had no idea. I guess I get to put my Arts degree to work cutting out cards now 🤣Cardstock is definitely the way to go #lockboss
Hi, I need a card generator program for the 1200CM machine. Don't need the code cuts figured out but need something to print out the cards. Example BEST C3 card. A program that I can just type in C3 or BEST and print to my brother laser printer. Thanks
Yes, if you use a code software like gcode. Or instacode you can print a card for free in the programs. Another option is to copy your measurement card and use a sharpie or highlighter to mark the spacing and depth info! Maybe I should make a video on that!-PJ
@@clksupplies I have a deck of 150 cards missing FIVE of them including C31X for Titan Kwikset. How is the best way to get these? I am entitled to them since they are supposed to be part of my package.
Just got my HPC Blitz (from CLK Supplies), can't find any videos on how/ when to use the Red or Horseshoe tip. PJ if u can make a video for that, I would really appreciate it. Ty :) #LockBoss

I use HPC Cardware and print on florescent yellow or green paper and laminate it!
