Just a correction: He's a Pakistani qawwal and Sufi singer, not an Indian. There are many great Indian singers as well obviously but Pakistani artists deserve to be recognized as Pakistani.
Pakistan was made out of India
Pakistani were Al Indians in the time before 1947.
And let me tell you something
The instruments and the sa re ga ma not came from the pakistans but from the Vedic scriptures Shame Veda.
@@mastahmind2010 😂
@@mastahmind2010 there was no india before 1947, it was called hindustan. Pakistan and india as a country came later. the instruments u r talking about was not just made for india. It was made in hindustan and both pakistan and india have rights to it even after parting away into two countries.
Why don't you guys appreciate art before all that shit! Rahat sahab ❤️
I'm glad you reacted to our country music 🇵🇰😊 He's a legend 💜
a lot of love from pakistan 😍 pakistani music is a complete journey and i'm sure you will be mind blown by the music and the talent. now i have more reasons to looking forward to your videos because of bts and pakistani music. can't wait for more reactions.😍
love from india ❤️
Listen to his teacher.. ustad nusrat fateh ali khan ... both are Best vocalists + Amjad sabri... Listen thm
You can check out Rahat's:
1. Afreen Afreen 2. Rang 3. Chaap Tilak, all of them are from coke studio Pakistan and all of them have subtitles. DO NOT MISS the subtitles from Afreen Afreen!
You can also check out couple of songs from coke studio Bangla. I think you might like 1) Bulbuli 2) Shob loke koy, 3) Prarthona. Again, all of them have subtitles.
This is Blood line bro ... No one can beat their Blood ... He's one of them
The one instruments he played was harmonium and it's a traditional instrument mostly in India and Pakistan. It looked like a small piano from front but back side works with air.
the accordian
No, an accordion is a different instrument than a harmonium
Not only India, Pakistan bro, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan also. You can say whole subcontinent💕
Omg!!!
You will have a gr8 time checking south Asian music trust me. Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is Pakistani,a legendary musician who's also very loved here in India. He's playing Harmonium and he's actually doing a lot of classical(not western classical)influenced takes while singing, it's not a single track, and he's not scatting actually he's singing the notes(Sargam), and vocal precursions(both are like vocal exercises). And about the tempo😅unless you are familiar with music of regions like India, Pak, Bengal, etc you will find it hard to catch up with the rhythms and patterns but I hope,no I'm actually sure you'll still enjoy it and get familiar with time.
In the beginning he just started with 'sargam letter- sa re ga ma pa dha ni sa'.... Than he sang.... "You will forget joking around about love untill you yourself fall in love".....and its really not joke fallen in love with his songs...
I miss Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.. When it comes to classical I was never able to appreciate anyone else other than him.
He is a legend and a nephew of the most legendary Pakistani singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, who taught him what you witnessed here. All the compositions he sang are those of Nusrat. And btw I would say he is still 75% at Nusrat's level.
Nice reaction 😍 Rahat fateh Ali Khan - He is a legend. He doctored in music in Oxford University & Oxford University has named one of its rooms after Rahat Fateh Ali Khan that makes him the first South Asian artist to receive such an honour. His family in Music industry over 600 years, fact he is 17th generation. His uncle is Nusrat fateh ali khan(He is one of the greatest musician of All-Time in the World. He named as Most influential & Famous Musician in 20th generation by Pakistan Government. He was described as the 4th greatest singer of all time by LA Weekly in 2016. He performed over 40 countries & Hollywood used his songs & music in their movies as well. He made in Guinness world records for more sufi recordings. Search about him to know more ..) ❤️
Good information. Thanks
Beautifully explained dear! 👌🏻❤️🇵🇰
Watch Coke Studio - Chap Tilak .... greastes song every written, composed and sung by Abida Parveen and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.... Chap Tilak was written around 800 years ago ... and has been sung by thousands of people over last 800 years... Chap Tilak is the modern master piece....
His uncle was another legendary singer, unfortunately he passed away. This style of singing while sitting down is the ultimate flex.
Bro r u talking about Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan?
Yes
Man he is not just a Pakistan whole world owns him !! I know you might not agree but it's the truth ...
@@HarugeriAndy he was only from pakistan lol
@@hx_z4 What to expect from you people ? This is expected behaviour from you lol 😆.
Come out of that narrow mindset 🤔.
Artists belong to everyone not India or Pakistan they are universal., India too has great legends it's not that Nasrat fathe Ali Khan is the only one.
Tum log kabhi nahi sudaroge, what to expect from a person studied in Madarasa where you have been taught just hatred killing nothing else 🤔 !!!
This sick mentally brought you guys where you are today 🤣
"ustad" means "the master" so he is the master of classical and semi-classical music in Pakistan and whole subcontinent after Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali
I know many foreigners can't react to it or understand him, us being local, we can't get him sometimes because he's not just a Legend, He's completely off the scales just like his Mentor The Original Ustad.
just like your bts journey i would love if you do some research and background check of Pakistani singers and music.
OMG I am following you since you reacted to butter. I am from India.
I always wondered what will be you r eaction when you experience Indian music. I am very happy and 😊
jim i'm so happy that you are reacting to pakistani music. i was following you for the bts content and i always wished that you react to pakistanni music.
❤ hats off
He's definitely 'popping off' and party time is right - he basically did a medley of a variety of songs strung together as only a Ustaad (expert teacher) can. Thank you for exploring a whole new world of music. Loved it!
He got love from both countries ind and pak ❤️
I'm a Indian and i love rahat fateh ali khan. He is a living legend❤he is from Pakistan🇵🇰

‘Ustad’ is a title which is given to singers once they reach a certain level of singing and accomplishments. It means master. Other singers will be addressed with their names. His uncle Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is known as the king of Qawwals. Qawali is a form of singing that’s performed in a group say on the floor. Great reactions.

He is playing Harmonium at 4:33. It is a stringed instrument made of wood, metal, brass, and cloth and is used widely in Indian classical music and is very popular as an accompaniment to solo singing and Qawwali singing in Pakistan.
Really liked your reaction and looking forward to more such videos..
it's not stringed instrument, it's wind instrument
Tumhara abba harmonium bajata tha 😂

❤
Thanks for this nice reaction. You could enjoy some great Pakistani music on channels such as Coke Studio, One Two Records, Bisconni music, Nescafe Basement, Velo Sound Station, Pepsi Pakistan, Cornetto Pakistan, etc. You can also search for these words 'Pakistani OST' and it would bring up some good Pakistani music. ☺
Pakistani, not Indian. But we love music from both sides..
great 💚
this is the music what Muslim kings used to hear in courtyards.
It was just out of the world. Loved your reaction 💕 do more of Pakistani music please.
React to Coke Studio Pakistan you will be blown away. and if you want to react to such soulful music i will highly recommend you to react to Chaap Tilak and Rang both from Coke studio and both include Rahat Fateh Ali khan
Dude you need to find and watch Garaj baras from Coke studio season 1
His uncle Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was a whole music industry himself. The legend.
not uncle. his big bro
@@storiesandfactsurduhindien6114I think you are his grandpa.
His uncle Fathers brother @@storiesandfactsurduhindien6114
He is From Pakistan Bro And he is the legendary singer in the world.
He comes from a long line of musicians his Uncle wa Nusra Fateh Ali Khan th greatest musician ever also known as the King of King of Qawali music, Peter Gabriel called him the greatest vocalist of all time and he was Rahats mentor and his father performed with Nusrat thus talent assed on and Rahat can be called the best vocalist alive. Qawali music is actually one of the oldest muic if not the oldest music in its original form still ractices and the skatting you pointed is called RAAG it is much older than JAZZ and these guys have been practicing it for centuries ppassed onto newer generations, their ancestors used to perform in the courts of Mughal Emperors centuries ago and invented new ways to impress them, so welcome to the most oldest for of music in it purest form alive today. You should react to ""Chaap Tilak"" by Rahad and another female singer Abida Parveen who is called Queen of Sufi Music another centuries old form/genre of music, a living legend.
He is our legend he is from Pakistan bro he was the Student of the Legendary Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan ❤
Rahat Fateh is juggernaut of vocal that is yet to meet a an equal match (composer) who can get a masterpiece out of this guy.
Anxiously waiting for that moment to happen.
Max Bparskih - Don't fp*]ck with Ukraine
Yarmak - дике поле
Reaction pleased
I think i can get behind this one based on the song title alone
He is the king of Pakistan king his own way and thanks for beautiful reaction brother love u
It’s Pakistan not India and urdu language
man you are doing good, by the way rahat is pakistani not indian, but it doesn't mater its just an information
Hey Jim.. new subscriber here.. oh yes.. Ustad Rahat is simply outstanding.. love your channel. Much love from South Africa.
He’s playing a harmonium..
Please react to all the songs of Coke Studio Season 14. I guarantee you're gonna love it.
Don't mixed Pakistan and India . both are different countries 😀
Yes sorry about that I was misinformed
He's a Pakistani singer, sure, but he's recognized as a legend all over South Asia. The title "Ustad" means a guru or a maestro. It's only given to singers who come from a lineage of singers who spent all their lives singing alongside other maestros since their childhood. And he used to sing alongside his uncle Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. NFAK was the teacher of A.R. Rehman as well.
Dude you have started with his best performance...but we do have some recommendation...you should have started with Aafreen Aafreen from Coke studio....followed by Chhaap Tilak and Rang from Coke studio...Saanson ki mala from Sufiscore and Khuda Aur Mohabbat season 3 OST....
Check out his performance in Rung Coke Studio, Afreen Afreen Coke Studio. Great reaction
Classical notes are very hard to pull
These are very different from western classical
I love 💕 Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's singing and meaningful lyrics ❣️❤️❣️
At least 700 years in the making for Rahat’s family, a legend no doubt
You experienced magic and transcendence. You’re welcome, ha! With love, from Pakistan.
Hahahahaha welcome to the rabbit hole! Indian/Pakistani/Bengali music will literally take you decades to get through lol. Rhythm is DEEPLY intertwined with musicality and melody in all Southeast Asian music.
The instrument is the harmonium. This is a medley of songs of his (late) legendary uncle, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. A lot of the displays of vocal dexterity involve just the syllables of the solfege - sa-re-ga-ma-pa-dha-ni - rather than true lyrics. He is nearly as good as his uncle was, but both are a class apart.
yes he is from PAKISTAN
our PRIDE
Hello Jim, you must react on "USTAD NUSRAT FATEH ALI KHAN" he was his uncle and teacher aswell.. NFAK was a whole industry himself!
C’mon bro do your research before banging on about so called “Indian “ singers & music . This is a Pakistani singer who mainly sang Sufi music which is only native to Pakistan 🇵🇰. Give Credit to Pakistan in future cos I guarantee even in the future your gonna go flat on your face when u say I love reacting to Indian singers 😂😂😂 cos the best singers from Asia are Pakistanis #fact
Calling someone pig or pigfaced is considered extremely abusive in 🇵🇰 i know pig is eaten in states.....we don't.....just to enlighten you
what abut Coke Studio Season 7| Chaap Tilak| Abida Parveen & Rahat Fateh Ali Khan
You are missing something really BIG. You have to react "Ghoom Charakhra" from Nescafe basement Pakistan. You will stand up on your chair I bet.
Usthādh Rrāhâthh Alee khānn
The way you would read the above with vocal stresses as above is what he ought to be referred to as since it’s a proper noun.
For context, ‘Ustad’ is like Maestro but somewhat more than that cos he has dedicated his life to a particular method and is uniquely identifiable. Also, it indirectly means he/she has been trained within family circle and the training is evolved through generations of teachers.
These are individuals who are not open to training through admission, reference, fame, growth. It’s choices are a concoction of medieval thought of religious orientation and a navy seal like mindset to keep training never knowing your graduation date I.e. admiration from the master and consequently participation in his/her concerts.
🍻
Recommendation:
Rahat fateh ali khan and abida parveen song "chaap tilak" coke studio sessions.
Rahat Fateh is living legend
Of Qawali and classical music
His uncle ( Nusrat Fateh ) was also legend Of Subcontinent
I know it's in complete innocence from your side, but it's calling Ireland, England or calling America, England since they both have English as their language..
You began wrong by saying its Indian, ..sorry, but its Pakistan. The land of the greatest artists ever born But India and Pakistan have the same music ,culture and same languages are spoken in bboth the countries
*🕉️ 🚩 🇮🇳 INDIA 🇮🇳 🚩 🕉️*
Everything is available on RUclips of Pakistan, you will be amazed and gone through if you learn the language URDU.
You just have to concentrate on drums while listening his vocals.. there you go you are flying through clouds 😂
Explore his father Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, You'll forget anyone on the planet, i bet you. and for correction he is Pakistani singer.
Hey jim you are not reacting to India, you are reacting to Pakistan. And you must know that Pakistan n India are 2 different countries with 2 different cultures. Though we speak same language n had history together, our culture is different now. So if you attribute Pakistani content n culture as indian then pakistanis wont like it, so better be aware of what you are watching.
Pakistan Coke Studio Best and world.pak💚🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰
Nice reaction. Please react on different songs of Coke studio Pakistan.
Do you know Casio Keyboard then it's the father called Peti old Indian Classical music instruments Harmonica in English
Dude ... please. Listen to "Rang" from Coke Studio. It pretty much defines the "journey" you speak about. It will more than tickle your fancy. And yeah, a reaction would be cool too. Life changing shit!
i would highly recommend ''rang'' by ustad rahat fateh ali khan and (late) amjad sabri ruclips.net/video/Uks8psEpmB4/видео.html
these two are legends.
This is so partisan of you not to acknowledge that hes from PAKISTAN... even after getting to know at the very start of the video.
say it again bro it is pronounced as "US TAD" "RAH AT" "FATE H" "ALI" "KHAN"
Atleast you should know the artist from which country he is before reacting. Nothing more .just atleast his/her country atleast. Thanks
He also did alap for the movie "Apocalypto" as his uncle Nusrat Fateh Ali khan did for the movie "the last temptations of Christ".
Worthy to listen...
You are making the same mistakes over again Calling pakistan. India we told you before when you reacted to Coke studio its pakistani and then again can you not just read stuff before naming things. Imagine I react to a american show without research say Russian artists
React to "tu mera nahin" from NESCAFE BASEMENT
Just came across your channel. I suggest you react to song Chap Talak by Rahat Fateh Ali and Abida 💜🌺
