Had a chance to meet Warren at an Allman's show and shake his hand - not only a great (and I do mean GREAT!) player but a very nice, very humble man with hands of butta - Soulshine was one of his greatest gifts to one of my favourite bands
What do you want to bet that he has played this so much that every time the guitar slides down a little bit and he has to pick it back up and the neck flexes a bit ... It's become part of the way the song sounds lol..
This guys guitar just came up on reverb and thought what the hell ill see who he is.. discovered govt mule and damn..we are missing out loads in Australia. So glad I checked this out
I’m more used to associating the ES-335 with Dicky than with Warren. Why? Because of their appearance at the concert for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 1995. Dicky was slinging one of these babies (it certainly looked almost identical to this one), while Warren was firing off a cherryburst Les Paul sans pickguard (sound familiar?). It’s sweet to hear Warren compare this 335 with his solid-body Gibson models. If I did get one for me, I doubt I could get this signature edition - but I would love to.
The pricing issue, coupled with people’s complaints about the Gibson Quality Control being sorry of late, still compounded with my disinterest in economic imitations could always sour me on the idea of getting one of these guitars, even though I’m always going to love what’s been done with them. I actually tried the Epiphone version, and I might have been a fool to get rid of it.

+kouligue Yeah, I'd like to see Gibson turn out a es-330 and es-225 with slimmer necks, although, I guess they're doing that with the es-339 with p-90's. I think a es-225 with three pick-ups and 5 way switching would be an interesting concept.
My ? ? ? too - don't bother clickin' ta read the review - unless, of course, you read Korean - I thought I might get PUPs there - No Luck ------- Snortin' Morton
I like Warren's slide playing better than Derek's, I just love his approach slow deliberate and lets the notes breath, Derek as great as he is, is too busy way too much vibrato and is balls to the wall all the time.

Very humble dude. Very under recognized.
Wow, this is like a great Banks of the Deep End and Soulshine tutorial. Thanks Warren, you just gave me something new to work on.
Es 335s are so sweet sounding...I need one
I need those fingers...Sound so sweet
I think a strap would keep the guitar from sliding down your leg, Warren. Great guitar, and great playing.
My wife and I met Warren and his wife at the snack bar before his show at the Fillmore. Humble man
Thank you Warner u make look so smooth and simple ... let it shine on
Banks of Deep end.. on of my favourite Gov´t Mule songs.Great looking guitar

Nice how they painted the walls to match the color of the guitar
hook7872 I know. I thought that was a lovely touch. Very considerate.
First riff is "Banks of the Deep end" not "Beautifully Broken"
+Michael Fenton I was about to say the same thing.
I thought the first riff sounded a bit like Ohio - CSNY.
Indeed
Faaaantastic played and a wonderfull Guitar!!!

A 2019 ES 335 is only $2100 at Sam Ash this weekend!!! Hurry!!!

I read he used to play one that Gregg owned.
Lovely 335 sound. Pity about price.
Save up...

How did I not know about this?
That version of soulshine is what it would sound like if Jimi played it......very Hendrix-esque
The best thing about a Japanese interview is the questions...where are the questions?

Love that feel in your playing . Facemelter!! Are you playing through a Fender amp? Thanks.Fan.
Warren Rocks. Love Him. at 3:23 his stomach growls, and He probably needs some nourishment
good sound..I prefer the P90 pick ups though..more bite..more intensity..humbuckers are a bit soft

TONE!
@ Sony Axon - Try the Gibson Lucille. It's a 355 and has no "fucking f holes".
Should always wear a strap while playing even while sitting down.
かっけー
This guitar only looks good in cherry red...the other colours just don’t work for me,this is classic...
