Why should ONLY people that earn under $200k a year pay social security tax on 100% of their income, while people who make millions or billions a year only pay social security tax on the first $220k of their income? That to me is unfair. How about only income ABOVE $220k incur a social security tax instead? Or just raise the cap and charge a tax on the firs $1 million, or the first $5 million? Or tax 100% of all income the same tax, that way everyone who receives social security could have a huge increase in their income!
