I agree that an eBay could be the most I would be getting myself ever involved with regard to electric transportation but as far as it goes regarding the actual components I do not know how much of those precious minerals that are required for the battery itself can be mined and sourced within the United States as far as I know our richest deposits are on landlocked areas either controlled by Native American treaty or companies that have no interest in Mining them and they are more of a financial holding. So unfortunately if you do not agree with electronic vehicles in the first place which it seems we both do not, than everything regarding electronic bikes or E bikes would have to fall into the same category as we would still be reliant on Chinese made batteries and base precious metals in order to produce these products. Currently as I'm sure you know the palladium and many of the metals used in then those rechargeable batteries are mined by people in third world countries and assembled and processed for use in China who then sells those products. If we could find a new fuel source or actually be allowed to do experiments on Hydrogen fuel cell technology for smaller scale things such as e bikes that would revolutionize the world but the reason they do not exist is because it would put the market of all electronic and internal combustion engines out of the market without a doubt. Of course the majority of people would convert their current vehicles so that they could run using a hydrogen fuel cell. But the traditional internal combustion engine running off of gasoline wood no longer have any hold on the market as hydrogen fuel vehicles would be virtually free to drive with regard to fuel costs. There are many people who have built their own cars using plans off the internet that run entirely off of a hydrogen producing mechanism. But these things cannot be patented or sold to the public due to rules and regulations having nothing even to do with the safety aspect. It's a very interesting thing to look into as hydrogen fuel cell technology is almost a limitless fuel source. All that requires is water And a small amount of electricity,
Do you mean infrastructure as in the electrical grid? If so, you are completely wrong. Right now, EVs use about 0.2% of the electricity produced in the US. For comparison, bitcoin mining used between 0.6% and 2.3% in 2023. That's 3 to 11 times more than EVs used. If EVs are a strain, then there should definitely be a national uproar over bitcoin mining. Also, keep in mind that the average house uses about 8 times the electricity an EV will per month. Using that ratio, I think it is safe to say that gas stations probably use the same if not more than a house, especially since so many are 24/7 now. So, that means each gas station uses as much as 8 EVs per year. There are approximately 196,643 retail gas locations in the US, and about 3.3 million EVs (4th quarter 2023). That means that gas stations alone are using just over half as much electricity as EVs are. People always seem to forget that part. If by infrastructure, you mean charging stations, then you are wrong. There are enough chargers to go anywhere in the US. It can't all be done on DC fast chargers, which I do think needs to be resolved, but it can be done.
@@eli6019 that is simply not true. There are not enough charging stations for people to feel comfortable buying an EV. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which Biden signed in November 2021, included $7.5 billion for EV charging. Of that, $5 billion was allocated to individual states in so-called “formula funding” to build a network of fast chargers along major highways in the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure, or NEVI, program.Mar 28, 20
@@jamescrane7034 Everything I have said is true, and easily verified by just looking it up. The key phrase in your argument is "for people to feel comfortable". Sure, range anxiety and fear of completely new driving habits is normal, but they are feelings. Feelings are not facts. The fact is, you can drive anywhere in the US with a 250-300 mile range EV. Again, you won't always have a DC fast charger to use, but chargers are available. I do wish more DC chargers could be installed faster, but new ones come online nearly every day already. Even without a perfect DC fast charging network, it's still so easy to cross the US with an EV that the manufacturers often compete to see who can do it the fastest. Once people stop letting their feelings control them, they'll realize that EVs aren't nearly as scary as they thought.
Two things - does your flat have a gas station at it? If not, then how on earth do you manage to get gas?!? Second, charging stations are not often as noticeable as gas stations. They don't need their own separate buildings since they don't present the same explosive hazards as gas stations. Every EV can locate the nearest charger, and there are tons of apps that update in real-time with locations, the status of chargers at those locations, and often the price per kWh.
@@TheRoark85 If it only takes 2 minutes, then you don't drive very far at all. Not to mention that most of those places offer free charging.
Then they will abolish public transportation so it will be back to walking or riding bicycles, but we can’t do that because we can’t afford RUBBER for tires. WHAT WILL WE DO???

There are dozens of windmills around where I live. They don't always have wind to turn them. Where I live, the sun doesn't shine at night. So we need coal and oil to generate a continuing base of electric power when alternate sources don't produce.

@@gregorygant4242 What do you consider a long commute? The average commute in the US is about 42 miles round-trip (almost exactly what mine is). I can make that drive for 7 days straight without needing to charge once.

The American people should make their own decisions to buy or not buy electricity cars.
The infrastructure does not support charging EVs.
💯‼️ and not enough discussion regarding that!
Musk figured the charging stations alone that would be required to sustain it would be 10 Trillion alone

I live in a flat & there are no public charging stations anywhere nearby that i know about. Why would i want one?
Two things - does your flat have a gas station at it? If not, then how on earth do you manage to get gas?!?
Second, charging stations are not often as noticeable as gas stations. They don't need their own separate buildings since they don't present the same explosive hazards as gas stations. Every EV can locate the nearest charger, and there are tons of apps that update in real-time with locations, the status of chargers at those locations, and often the price per kWh.
