I kind of love the named trends for different color stories. It's a nice way to round up the differences in shades in a new way. And it does kind of make old things more appealing. I've never been into the more brown-toned makeup shades but latte makeup definitely makes it more intriguing
As someone with rosacea/flush prone skin who has spent their entire adult life trying to cover it up...the thought of adding a 'tomato' blush to my face fills me with absolute dread 😂

I love you tackling tiktok trends, I don’t use tiktok and don’t plan on downloading it so it’s a perfect way for me to stay up to date with makeup trends without falling into another social media addiction. Also, my first merit products finally arrived from my friend who sent them from the UK, I’m so in love with the blush in fox and the lipstick in aperitif really surprised me, I think it’s more like a vintage coral red than a true red but it looks very nice and retro. Kind of bummed I missed out on the eyeshadow, would love to hear your thoughts on it!

I have only recently found out about this trend, and realized I have been doing some variation of it for several years. I use the Rituel de Fille - Colour Nectar Pigment Balm, in Bloodflower (from Mecca). Smells like lavender when you first use it, and works as both lip and cheek product.
I have the vision flush in Cherry 🍒 Bomb and the Summer Friday in Heat wave. I’ve been eyeing the Charlotte Tilbury formula - it looks beautiful!

❤ Reds are usually only found on my lips, but I would probably put some of my Revlon Cherries In The Snow lip bullet in my palm to melt it, and take it from there to my cheeks with a brush. Then I would sort of pat that same color on my lips.

I ve always loved red blush, for my pale yellow un bronzed winter skin really livens things up. My discontinued love is the changel lip blush red rouge captivant. The sheer red was a deep pink red sheered very translucent and nice on the cheeks. Now i use the beery lively rosewood, more strawberry icecream. They have a tomatoey red as well, but in the spring when I tried them at the counter did not suit me so much. In the meantime, I am reminiscing of other old loves I've finished many bene tints in the past and also one strawberry drip from fenty. When i am coming back from the sun will reassess the tones, maybe I can find a cream exhibit a version
I still have my Chanel Lip Blush tubes too Anca, they were the best! Didn't include it here because the formula is long gone but I still love them 😍 x
All I typically do is flush my cheeks for a strawberry glow so this is right up my alley :)

Love a pinky red, even though I’m the shade of paper and tend to flush/blush on the regular. Any guess to what will be next russet potato or maybe kale? I’m just thrilled that bubblegum pink is all the rage.

Lovely edit! I was expecting to see strawberry shock lip by lisa eldridge... dab it on and cover with a lip balm or gloss. I also mix with her liquid highlighter for a dewy blush look yhat lasts all day... go to for summer.
Korean brand Etude house has a strawberry tinted lip and cheek stain which is perfect for this look 🍓

I think I would need to go try a red before a purchase. I think I would prefer a sheer in this color, like Merit sheer.
Very wise approach! The YSL formula I mentioned seems to be the most sheer and has a nice balmy/dewy finish like MERIT, just a lot thicker 🍓 x
Ooo i love these fun TikTok trends ! For me 🍓strawberry is the neutral red slightly pink undertones and 🍅tomato is the warmer red with slight orange/coral undertones. Just like how you describe them ! I've seen 🍒cherry girl makeup and pumpkin girl start creeping now that 🍂autumn nearing in northern hemisphere. And for me 🍒cherry is the deeper slightly cool leaning red, like the fresh cherries vibe, not the maraschino 😆

I think that Rare Beauty ‘Grateful’ is the most spot on red blush I’ve come across. A close second is Milk Bionic Blush in ‘Fly’ :)

great video! all the colors are so pretty when you show them like this, but i unfortunately know that this vibe is not for me or my skin tone (i also have a bit too much redness in the face). a strawberry milkshake makeup trend would be great for me actually lol, with some sweet light pinks.

Oh my, didn’t know strawberry makeup was the name. I certainly like putting my blush high and across the nose bridge. I have a round face, so even while I’m fairly fit, my cheeks are perpetually chubby… lol. Putting my blush above my cheeks actually help them look less round. Just a tip for my fellow chubby cheekers!

it turns out i own a ton of strawberry blush shades. a recent discovery is rituel de fille color nectar pigment balm in hummingbird. much pinkier than i thought it would be--i was expecting a bright coral--but so pretty when i want to look like i've gotten a bit of sun.

I'm on the paler side and have always used red blushes ( I use lipstick) I feel like they look much more natural than hot pink / peachy blushes

@@matildaonvideo I think I saw it in one of beauty/fashion magazines but who knows I may have invented the name from what I was seeing! Basically it is a more grown up look to strawberry- less girlie more womanly, little more edgy almost villainess hence why I gave its name, mysterious, sultry beauty look. Think eyeliner, afterglow liquid blush, darker lip. Again back in day used to be femme fatale/ rock chic look but with a modern twist.
