It's so uncomfortable how they film the divers after they have dived. Like they go under the shower and want to like idk, fix their swim trunks, but the cameramen are like: hello, I am here again.

In the game, referees evaluate the scores based on the athlete's approach (ie, walking, treadmill), take-off, aerial action and water entry action. Therefore, athletes should run smoothly during the competition, take off decisively and forcefully, take off at an appropriate angle, and have a certain height（this is important,the higher you are ,you have more time and room to finish your action）; the posture in the air is beautiful, tossing and turning quickly; when entering the water, the body is perpendicular to the surface of the water, the smaller the splash, the better.

The women commentators in synchro were equally biased. Especially one Brit woman. All of these commentators should stop gassing up the most popular and powerful teams. That way the competition looks highly predictable. Good lord knows that there should be a course to teach this commentators before they come and judge THE Olympics.

Lin Yue is the first male athlete who won multiple Gold medals in 10m platform diving in the Olympics. Such a great diver. His entry is better than Chen Aisen. Great respect for these athletes.

Some claim Asian smaller frames as an advantage, it's only true to a certain extent. There are many lightweight Europeans too, even if not as many. The more important thing is culture, where elegance and economy in movement are emphasized. In East Asian cultures, such as the kung fu, the one that exerts the most strength but done so in the quietest manner and with the least movement is treasured. Whereas in Western culture, well... Braveheart.

**FOR CLARIFICATION** One of the commentators said that the first two opening dives have a max degree of difficulty of 2.0, which is false. the first two opening dives have a set degree of difficulty of 2.0, so even if a dive has a DD lower than 2.0 (such as a front dive pike with a DD of 1.5) the DD is set to 2.0.

ik, I can't speak on execution cause I don't know anything, but the syncranization is something I can see with the camera. Some looked great but got a low score for it.

Angela Nguyen The German’s third dive got the same scores for synchro as some other dives that were much, much less out of sync. their 5253 was perfectly synced up and got like 8s
it always is slightly, but bear in mind they don’t get to see the slo mo and they only see it from one angle, a very different one from what we see at that 😅 so sometimes inconsistencies have something to do with that

@@judyanddy no they not. Chinese are always over scored even when they dont have perfect dives. Brits was way better then Germany. if you dont understand diving judging dont watch.
Sigita J I’m sorry, did you just say that China is OVER scored? They aren’t over scored. Actually, in most of the other Olympic events, China gets lower scores than they should. Also, I NEVER compared the Brits to Germany. Great Britain is overscored for most of the time. I was comparing them to the Cuban divers in another diving video. The Cuban divers did a more difficult dive than the Brits with little splash and they were scored very low (Execution was around 7 or 8 and synchro was around 7 or 8) while the Brits were doing the same dive but with a big splash and they were scored an Execution- 8-9 and Synchro- 9-9.5 this shows how Britain was overscored compared for the Cubans. So next time, you shouldn’t go assume everything.
