This fig variety is called Ronde de Bordeaux ; not violette de Bordeaux. Never heard calling them Violette de Bordeaux. Violette is just referring to the colour of the ripen fruit in French, meaning purplish.
Just picked a breba fig on my VDB in cool foggy San Francisco on my 1.5 year old tree. It came in at 68 grams and tasted fantastic. Can't wait for the other 5 brebas to ripen and the main crop probably will ripen in October and November.
try wellsprings...it can take 2-3 years to get fruit from a tissue culture VdB TC plant, but they grow very fast and are free of disease when you acquire them.

Violette de Bordeaux is a common fig. We only have one variety that might not be parthenocarpic and that is written up in the description.

Rick, do you sell a mini version of the fig, or know of place in the U.S. to get one
Goldstar 36 I am in Southern California and about to prune my Violette de Bordeaux. I could give you my trimmings if you are local.
