    Join us in spreading the joy of film photography through our new and exciting Analogue Wonderland Ambassador Programme! We're on the lookout for passionate individuals who love film photography as much as us and believe in its positive impact on their lives. We value creativity over technical expertise, are keen to make film photography accessible and enjoyable for everyone, and want our ambassadors to share those values ❤️
    We're kicking of the programme with a 6-month cohort of 10 ambassadors. If it works out like we hope, we'll expand in the summer to bring even more people into the world of film photography. So, could it be you? Come and join us on this exciting journey! 🤩
    😎 Learn more and apply to be an Ambassador here: analoguewonder...
    We can't wait to hear from you and share your enthusiasm with the rest of the community!

    The idea is great, and I wish you the best for the future of the ambassador program. But as is, and to echo a bit of what others are saying... on the very low end I'd expect a video to be worth at least £250 of my time alone (not including cost of film and dev). I think if you were offering to send some free rolls with dev included, say once a month, on top of the discounts, it would already be a great start.

      That's a great idea, though we haven't finalised the details just yet. Thanks for the feedback!

    I think that the premise of this is great, however 5% store discount seems a little stingy in return for 6 pieces of content that are going to be used in paid ads? I’ve no doubt that there will be a plethora of applicants but it does devalue that content somewhat. Just my two cents 🤷🏻‍♂️

      heya! The 5% store discount is not the only compensation by any means - we're still finalising the details, but the plan is that this should definitely feel like an awesome deal for the successful ambassadors 😊. Thank you for the thought! - Paul

      @@AnalogueWonderland I think you may need to ask your designer community what would inspire creators to get involved. Visual designers & creative people are swamped with “it will be good for you showreel” requests. And those who are proactive, they are normally already busy on projects. However, people who are interested in analog film and photography do you want to get involved however there should be something where they feel rewarded and acknowledged. If you are able to crack that balance then you’ll probably find some very good people, but it’s probably good to listen to what the original poster above has said, it wasn’t said in malice it was a heads up, and I concur that you really should ask some people. What do they think with motivate them to get involved it doesn’t cost much to put a post and ask you come and see what would be a fair balance you may find you learn a lot. This hasn’t been posted with anything other than wanted you guys to succeed. All the best

      In my experience of hiring dozens of graphic designers over the last 20 years, I can tell you now the quality work does tend to come from people who feel that they are being acknowledged and yes, they will be aware that they are doing something for the community, so there will be a community spirited, but at the same time, they don’t want to feel like they’re being rinsed. If you do find the balance, I’m sure you’re gonna get some amazing work and I look forward to seeing

    Nice idea guys. Well done for the thoughts. I'd consider it, but I'm still not a huge fan of having videos of myself on the Internet :-) And I recently stopped blogging! Typical.

    Shame this excludes those of us who home develop, even though I buy nearly all my film through AW. (I'd buy my chemistry from you too if you stocked it! Is that a plan for the future? 😁)

      @AnalogueWonderland  7 месяцев назад +1

      Definitely! What chemistry do you use?

    • @Adam-wl8wn
      @Adam-wl8wn 7 месяцев назад +1

      For colour, it's generally the Tetenal, Rollei or Cinestill kits (whichever is in stock at a reasonable price). For B&W I use garden variety Rodinal mixed with various Ilford developers. I used to use Kodak HC110 when I could get it, but I've given up trying now. Fixes and stops are either Adox or Ilford, no preference but rather what is in stock at the time of purchase. I always use liquid products, never powder. Bristol Cameras or Parallax are generally my go to places of purchase if you're looking to benchmark your prices.

      @@Adam-wl8wn Thanks for the explanation - we'll have to make a note of these for future!
      Whilst with this cohort we're looking to focus on recruiting ambassadors who've used our WonderLab, in future we'll be seeking people like yourselves too, if you wanted to add your name to our list 😊

    Your offer is too low for this. If you’re choosing 10 people to be your ambassadors, where you’ll get to use their content for marketing purposes, you should be providing them with free film and processing at the very least.

    tldr PAY. YOUR. CREATORS
    You need to reassess this. We love some community content but the value proposition is way off here. Quality content for paid ads in exchange for 5% discount? It’s offensive to photographers. I get you’re probably not after working professionals here but even for a hobbyist that still puts them out of pocket whilst carrying out work creating content for you.
    Paid ad usage is worth more than the original content creative fees in most instances. I think you need to workshop this a little more internally and externally with the photography community. There should be monetary compensation here, and I’m shocked the proposition hasn’t even started with free film and processing.

      Heya - no it's not planned as a working photographer sponsorship deal but I hear your point 👍 and we're definitely not going to leave anyone out of pocket for their time spent! - Paul
