As a British person, I can’t understand why some British people dislike the French. Personally, I love the french language and culture and think the people are very easy going! I’ve never actually been before but I’d love to. I do have french pen pals though and they are so friendly! I also picked French for a subject at school and I’ve loved every minute. But when we went, the french people were so lovely, my french is rubbish but I tried and they were more than happy to try to speak english with us, everyone was so polite. Football of course, most popular destination to visit in Europe, they compete for who makes the best Wine and Cheese. Who's has the better fashion and the better cuisine. What language is the most "romantic" and the list goes on and on.
Also some of the hatred has come from both WW1 and WW2, pretty sure that there was "real hate" in the older generations but right now (at least here in Italy) we just take it as "friendly banter", it's all for fun. It's just that the question "who's better at?" between France and Italy comes up A LOT.

For anyone who is surprised at the fact that someone said Germany, France and Germany are actually very close rn. There has been a lot of programs of exchange students very early, so now a lot of people in France has some German friends that they knew when they were students. German is one of the three languages we learn the most in school, with english and Spanish. A lot of middle and high schools organize trips to Germany. Because of all these factors, the 2 populations feel quite close to one another. I didn't think that the international population wasn't aware but a war between Germany and France is literally impossible rn. 😂 This was the main goal of the European Construction and I think we can say that it was a success.
It's actually because French and German people are not friends at all that the governments made all this politics, to try to make this two countries closer. But it doesn't work good, most of French people don't like Germany

As a Turkish traveler i visit Kazaksthan about 5 years ago .And im sorry about what lady said for Kazakstan . For me Kazakhstan is the most cultured people of the Middle East. And if lady goes the south of Kazakstan (The state of Turan) the capital is yesi (now it is Turkistan) and you will see the answer to the question "How would a Central Anatolian city really become rich?" The magnificent Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Tomb built by Timur in 1389 is there, and a little further from the city is the tomb of Arslan Baba, the teacher of Ahmet Yesevi, and the mosque named after him , These are fascinating works. The tile art in Kazakstan was incredible .And the people is good actually but every country have bad people too and maybe you may have come across :/ .I hope you go to Kazakhstan again and your opinion changes. What a horribly divisive question. People should really think twice about the question and ask back how you can hate a whole country!! No country can be hated, it doesn’t make ANY sense. You can hate some of its people, its political leadership or some specific aspects of it (cultural, historical, political, environmental…) but you cannot hate an entire country. I'd say Afghanistan very easily, there is nothing I like about that country, except its food culture which can also be found in its neighboring countries. Not to mention the local people being okay with the established state of terrorism saying they've liberated the country from imperialists.

And that for all word, so when you met a french, tell your nationality in french and he gonna speak less fast (i don't know how we say)
