Yeah, I also don´t get it, in Icelandic they have a lot more flexive case system and also the pronunciation is way harder. To speak Danish, you more or less speak Bokmål Norwegian while swallowing most of the end syllables...

I really LOVE ICELAND a lot after visiting there for 3 days in June 2024 (to VIK and Höfn) Wonderful land and people is nice to us, tourists from Thailand and Sweden.. So I will surely visit ICELAND to explore more of wonderful natural wonders.
Next summer will stay some days in Reykjavik, surely. It will be cool.

I live in the Netherlands and I can understand why you don’t like the Netherlands compared to Iceland’s nature.
I was certain the Iceland people would mainly say they don't like Americans.
Icelanders tend to be somewhat less critical of the US compared to other Nordic people and at least part of the reason for that in recent years has been the increasing economic value of tourism from North America. It's a bit like the relationship that Maltese people have traditionally had with the British.

Yeah, Somalia and its hinterlands should to be close to the top of everyone's dislike list. Instead, some of these folks dislike Denmark, likely because of some petty regional rivalry. I know little about Scandinavia, but my trip to Denmark a few years ago proved to me it's one of the best countries in the world. I'm sure Iceland is too. I'd like to visit there sometime.
