I don't know why people don't just notice that Kyoshi is actually a way more powerful airbender than Aang .
She might of been the strongest avatar but she wasn't immortal because if she was we wouldn't have Ang
It was hinted that she pursued the technique but it’s true that she wasn’t immortal

I mean It was her decision to kill herself tho.. for the next generations avatar
She ended her immortality because of the grief of losing everyone she loved and she was left alone.
