    Just wanted to thank you for your videos and website. Truly outstanding material. I had a data governance interview with a very large corporation, today. I had all of the bits of information, just didn't know how to organize it. Much like knowing all the bricks, just not where they go in the wall. You put it all together for me! I have an interview with two VPs, next to set up their DQ environment. I have a good shot.
    Again, thank you for your hard work! You really should consider collecting all this information into a single book. It is quality material!

      Thank you very much Mike. That means a lot to me. I’m glad the interview went well and I hope your interview with the VPs will go stellar.
      Thanks for the book idea. I should probably get on that, just not sure what the angle of the book should be.

    I just watched your video and I absolutely loved it! I found your presentation to be incredibly informative and engaging. You did a great job of breaking down complex concepts into easy-to-understand terms. I also appreciated the humor and personal anecdotes that you sprinkled throughout the video. It made the content more relatable and enjoyable. You're one of the few RUclipsrs who I can consistently count on to deliver high-quality content. Keep up the great work! can a fresh graduate become a data governance professional?

    • @LightsOnData
      @LightsOnData  2 года назад

      I don’t see why not. There are also different roles within this field, such as data governance/quality coordinator and data governance analyst which could be more fitting when you’re starting with no previous experience.

      @@LightsOnData thanks, but I am a database administrator and now I am planning on moving to data governance field what technologies should I learn to make this switch?

    • @LightsOnData
      @LightsOnData  2 года назад

      @@rudroroy1054 data governance is more people and processes than technology. But of course, tech is an important aid as well. Knowing data modeling and being a DBA can help you in certain technical discussions as well so that's a bonus in my opinion.

    • @LightsOnData
      @LightsOnData  2 года назад +1

      @@rudroroy1054 in terms of tech, it really depends on the data governance tech stack of the company. One of the most popular DG tools is Collibra so you can start with that one.
