Thanks a lot. Tracking with my eyes and head simultaneously does a lot for me for some reason. I was in a car accident 10 years and nothing helped until seeing this
Thank you for reaching out, @Drvm614. It's very encouraging to hear that oculomotor exercises have been helpful for you after your accident. Indeed, these exercises can be beneficial for many people recovering from visual and vestibular symptoms. It's important to personalize any exercise regimen based on individual circumstances, so I would suggest discussing this with your physician to ensure it's appropriate for your specific condition. I'm glad you've found something that contributes positively to your recovery.
Thank you so much! I’m finding I can get 1:1 with what’s happening. And getting help. 🤗. Wish I lived in Calgary but this is a huge step forward. London, UK.
Thank you very much for making this video. Please could you tell me what is the reason that it's bad if you get a headache after doing these exercises?
Hello @sunshinegirl, Thank you for reaching out and for your kind words about the video. I'm really glad you found it valuable. I would love to provide more personalized guidance, but it's important to note that without a physical examination, I can't offer specific medical advice. Headaches following oculomotor exercises can occur for a variety of reasons and it's best evaluated in person by a healthcare professional. If you're experiencing discomfort, I highly recommend consulting with a practitioner who can assess your individual situation.
Dr if I got very dizzy with the first exercise can I continued doing the other or stopped until I feel better or the dizziness diminished or all the exercises you together ? Thank
Hi @sirenagarrido3836, Thanks for watching and for your question! When performing oculomotor exercises, it's not uncommon for some people to experience dizziness, especially if they are dealing with conditions like vertigo or concussion symptoms. In general, if dizziness becomes overwhelming, it’s usually a good idea to pause and rest before continuing. The goal is to gradually build tolerance to these exercises over time. Starting slowly and spacing exercises out can be helpful-try performing them in smaller sets and only progress when you feel comfortable. If the dizziness persists or worsens, it may be best to consult with a healthcare provider who can guide you through the process safely and offer modifications if needed. Wishing you steady progress and recovery! Dr. Brian Abelson, DC
Hello @TomCTHC, thank you for your question. The duration of nystagmus post-concussion can vary widely depending on the severity of the injury and individual healing processes. Typically, nystagmus resulting from concussion resolves as the brain recovers, but this can take anywhere from a few days to several months. If nystagmus persists or is accompanied by other symptoms like dizziness or balance issues, it's important to seek professional medical evaluation to ensure appropriate management and rehabilitation. Always ensure that any continued symptoms following a concussion are closely monitored by healthcare professionals. Thank you for engaging with our content!

Hi! I am 29 yrs old and I had a BPPV vertigo condition a year ago and after some exercises I didn’t feel that spinning sensation for past one year. Now I am about to fly on a 17hr flight, so will that conditon make any problem during my travel?
Hello: Without conducting a personal physical examination, it's beyond my scope to give specific advice for individual cases. I would strongly advise that you schedule an appointment with a healthcare provider in your locality for an evaluation tailored to your unique situation. Cheers!
I had an accident being thrown on the ground by a grown man who has martial art skills. I’m only 15, a female, already have neck problems. At first i was so scared… the first day i had room-spinning vertigo and after that i felt like the floor was moving. I first tought it was my brain but my doctor, chiropractor felt that it was coming from my neck. Ever since the ‘whiplash’ my neck muscles are WAY MORE TENSE!!! I always had tense muscles but this made it 10 time worse. I now have an anxiety dissorder developed because i can’t live normally anymore:(. Please tell me how long it will take to heal? I go to a chiropractor every 2 weeks.
Hi, I truly sympathize with your situation, but unfortunately, I'm unable to provide a precise evaluation or prognosis without conducting a physical examination. If you're finding that your current treatment isn't giving you the relief you need, it could be beneficial to seek a second opinion from another medical practitioner, particularly since your symptoms persist. Remember, the demonstrations provided in the videos aren't meant to replace personalized medical advice. Please continue to communicate with your healthcare providers about your concerns. Your wellbeing is of utmost importance. Best wishes on your journey to recovery.
Hello, thanks for watching! Unfortunately, I cannot provide advice or comment on specific cases without performing a physical examination. Concussions are serious matters, so please follow the advice of your physician for the best course of action regarding your recovery. Feel free to show your physician these exercises to see if they are appropriate for your particular case.
The maneuvers designed for BPPV are the Epley Maneuver, Half Somersault Maneuver, Lempert Maneuver, and Deep Head Hanging Maneuver. These procedures are available on our “Vertigo, Concussion, Whiplash” playlist. Cheers! ruclips.net/p/PLgOYZJk3rv6UXQ7l2d10u37ngF3y2lw0j

That would depend on the case, I can not make comments on specific cases without a physical examination. That being said we would often have our patients Patients perform exercises four to five times daily for a total of 20-40 minutes/day, in addition to 20 minutes of balance and gait exercises. Rehabilitation takes time. Cheers!

If we prescribe these exercises to our patients, then in most cases (not all) we recommend they perform the exercises several times per day.
