Advaita Vedanta seems clearer with the bigger picture saying more direct things like, "I am all bliss. I am the sum-total of phenomena which is the sum-total of consciousness." But the loving kindness or metta aspect of the dharma from Buddhism seems like the only way to streamline that realization or samadhi because it puts the personality or thoughts on board. Loving kindness is an inherent aspect of samadhi or higher samadhi, so it seems like thoughts perceived as being against it are the cause for any samadhi ending.
