I don't often actively watch your videos. Often time it is background noise while working. However, your tone and demeanor mixed with the riding sounds is very pleasent to listen to. =) I feel like I've watched it even if I haven't, and the video doesn't scream at me all the time to try and demand attention.

Every time I watch a Phil video I am amazed at how he rips trails he has never seen. It would take me all summer to sort out that first trail. Off camber, gaps, blown corners, and the most you ever hear is "huh" or "interesting". I'd be halfway up a tree wondering how I got there.

I really dont like videos that are shorter than 5 minutes. A lot of the times even videos that are 5-10 minutes feels to short. Most videos i watch is 10-30 minutes long but I also like longer videos. If you enjoy a channel 15-25 minutes feels like a minimum. If its build videos i like if they are longer and more detailed. Sometimes my ADHD makes it harder to focus but i still prefer longer videos.

I like both channel formats and appreciate your content. Maybe I'm weird, but the trail building, longer form, less edited stuff is kind of ASMR-ish for me. I've realized this after watching other MTB channels as well as other types of long form content, especially over the last few years. I also enjoy watching trail riding vids, of course. I get that there's a need to pull in views and certain strategies prevail. I think you should put your energy wherever it's most effective for you, but you've made a ton of quality content and it's great to see!

@7:00 Phil, that crash was the exact same way I broke all my ribs on my left side. Got a little squirrelly and got into the dead leafs on the side of the trail, locked up by breaks and got sideways. Ended up trying to brace my slide on a tree but misjudged the speed I had picked up and racked my side.

It makes sense that you have no regen, you have a freewheel. The motor would need to be directly connected to the driven wheel making it a fixed gear bike to have regen. Or employ some other complicated mechanism to move the freewheel mechanism into the motor/crank assembly. I'm sure it exists but not surprised it's uncommon.
