I do not participate in disputes about music. I listen, I don't bother anyone, but a Greek, Arab, Turk or Persian constantly will mention, that I am listening their music. And even your fellow Armenian can make a remark - you listen their music. That is the genocide.
I am sorry but Ud is not an Armenian instrument . I respect what instrument you play and more power to you Ara , but it is not what we are and it has nothing to do with Armenian music. It is from the medieval Islamic period and the origin is said to be either Persia or Iraq or even Africa.

The original oud is a Persian instrument. However; what is known as a “Turkish oud” was actually designed by An Armenian luthier. The Armenian oud is smaller in size than the Persian oud and has a much different tone. The Persian oud has a beautiful deep sound whereas the Armenian oud is higher and brighter.
Then original oud originated in Persia but the Armenian variant (the one being played in countless historical armenians pieces) was designed by an Armenian thousands of years ago. By posting this very unintelligible comment, when there is proof that oud is also Armenian as well as ir belongs to many other cultures u are saying that our culture is fake. Thats very disrespectful. Be better than that and next time dont make urself look like a fool on the internet.
