I doubt you'll see this since it's been 5 years since you commented but if do you I'd love to let you know how beautiful I think this song is. It's truly a work of art and one of my favorite songs to sing or hear in a choir. Thanks for making it!
I sang this in choir my senior year of hs, probably one the most inspirational, tear jerking songs I have ever had the privilege to sing. Frank ticheli is a true genius when it comes to composition, whether is be for wind ensembles or vocal ensembles, all of his pieces are great
Bradley Marx my sister sang this her senior year of high school too and I was an 8th grader at the time. This was in 2008 or 2009 but I remember watching her class sing this and I was sooooo amazed. To this day I'll randomly come back and listen to this. Like right now haha
You should be proud, it is INCREDIBLY well done. I did the Disney Music Festival a few years after watching this. This performance stuck with me. I come back to watch it every now and then because it is so beautiful and gives me chills. I can't even imagine what it must have sounded like live.
I listen to this at least 3 times a month. This song still means the world to me, even 12 years later. Thank you John Anthony, I take this song everywhere I go.
Wow -- it is rare, and very impressive, to hear a high school choir perform with such control, blend, and phrasing. Congratulations to you all and to your director.
Almost 10 years ago and I still miss every little bit of concert choir and show choir. Mr. Anthony you have taught me many things that I still use to this day. I miss being apart of this choir and having you as my choir director. I miss you and hope all is well.
We sang this at band camp, it was beautiful, by far one of my favorites. I'm a soprano too, so it was really pretty for me to sing. We went outside and a little ways into the trees by the water where no one else was and sang it there before the concert, and we heard birds replying. It was an amazing experience. I love this song so much.
+Malia Melton Nice!!! I did it with my HS choir, and im an Alto, so we had the crazy harmony notes :3 it feels soooo amazing singing that note, you can feel the chord. its wonderful
I sang this back in high school for a concert. When we were learning it we met a man who sang it with a group in Auschwitz. Listening to the song in that context really brings a new meaning to the song. I can't sing this song without crying or chocking on my words. Thank and Praise God for such beauty!
I still remember the silence after we performed this song 13 years ago at Festival Disney. It's so beautiful to see Alumni from this Choir comment recently. It reminds me that these years together it was all about the music and the people we sang the music with. Our hearts and lives are forever tethered. Thank you, Mr. Anthony. Mr. Thayer, the Choir and all that love you are so proud and grateful for your Love and Passion for the Music and Us.
I was in Choir when i was in high school and i miss that so so much! This Choir sounds very amazing and i love them. I was in show Choirs also and we dressed in Formal Dresses and Tuxedos and danced with a partner! i believe that this choir should be recognized for their awesome talent! I also think it should be recognized and for this Choir to do show and enter into competitions against other choirs. Trust me they are fun when you truly love choir. *AWESOME*
Our chorus is singing this song this year and this is quite literally the best rendition I've ever heard of it. Like on the first note my breath literally caught.
My High school choir is singing this song, I like to listen to the song so I can have a better Idea, and I could not have picked a better video, this choir is amazing and I love listening to this song. Thank You.
I sang this in high school in 2011 in Minnesota. I graduated a decade ago today. We sang this at the graduation. Tonight, I am sitting in California at a government fire station alone in the mountains. Odd to think that some people that I sang with in 2011 passed away and some people aren’t in Minnesota anymore, i wonder where they are now.
Words cannot decribe the feeling that transcend through my veins and soul as I listen to this recording. Its even more beautiful when performede live. I myself performed this piece , will never forget it and the peace that rings with every note.
My choir sang this song last year. It was amazing, when we sang this....the expressions on every persons face when we sang this song just showed how much music means to everyone of us, that our pain and afflictions can not even be expressed through words...but through song. We closed our eyes when we sang it. It wasn't unusual to see a few tears cascading down cheeks. This song meant to much to us that this year we made shirts that say "Sing. Be. Live."
Dang, the bass's sound really really good! Good job tenor's for extending their range. This song is an overall easy piece, but very satisfying to sing.
singing this December 18, 2018. what a wonderful song ! I’m a freshman in high school and it makes me realize I’m growing up in some sort of strange way. he is a great composer . Amen
I had no idea this song is also sung for choir, I played a part of this song for orchestra band. This sounds so beautiful sung as a choir, Earth Song is one of my favorite pieces.

What an amazing, moving and passionately sung piece. Absolutely breathtaking, no words can describe the true serenity of the relic. Well done, well done indeed.
This is so so so good! We played this in my band at Festival Disney this year and it was the best experience ever! This choral version would be great with a band! But its great alone! Great job! -EWP
I remember my freshman year of high school I joined my chamber choir and this was the first piece we learned and I thought it was gonna be so hard. I was an alto 2 that whole year and then got switched to soprano 1 my sophomore and relearned this piece and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. This piece never ceases to make me cry but be so happy at the same moment
This was one of hundreds of pieces that I was lucky enough to sing at the Georgia All-State Sight Singing choir. It's an amazing program in which we pay $35 to get 150+ pieces and spend a weekend doing each one. Then we perform three songs (well, read) then we are given a piece on stage to sight read. I think a choir of this caliber would enjoy something like that.
amazing...i have chills..i must say i really love arts. I am in Band, chorus, and drama,,and they way we can affect people when they just listen is amazing. This is gorgeous what they did... 2:28 is perfect when they stop and u can still heard their presents, ever so beauitful this is..how can i not comment on it
I performed this song today at an All-State Music fstival and it was amazing. The power this piece can creat from the harmonies and the note dynamics is truly amazing from the Bass1 section. This group does it Phenomally for a HS group. Props to you all.
My choir made it to State here in Florida, and this is one of the songs we're going to perform for it. Great job guys. We also went to Festival Disney the same year as you all I think, but we only got an Excellent.
The Lancaster Chorale (of which I am a member--love those paid gigs!) sang this last year. This is a wonderful performance. I listen to it when I'm feeling down :)
My choir is singing this in a few days at Myrtle Beach, SC. (: It's going to be great...We've worked hard on this peice. It's just so beautiful. This is definately my favorite choir peice, even more than Elijiah Rock.

If this is a high school concert choir, I'd like to see your audition choir.
Concert chor is an auditioned choir
This is probably a chorale chorus
Lauryn Schmidt concert choir is usually like the choir that anyone can take, it’s a class. The Chamber Choir is an auditioned choir
Douglas Jones this is their Audition choir
It is an auditioned choir
My group, who happens to be the neighboring school of this choir is singing this for 9/11. It is a beautiful song. Very well done.

It is the most powerful song I have ever heard. God Vision of Love and Grace runs through Frank veins!!!
What a truly incredible rendition of this piece. Time really hasn't changed its quality.
Thank You.
I wish I could have heard this performance live. If it's this good as a recording I can't even imagine what it sounded like in person.
I sang this in high school in 2011 in Minnesota. I graduated a decade ago today. We sang this at the graduation. Tonight, I am sitting in California at a government fire station alone in the mountains. I come back to their arrangement of this all the time. No one can touch the performance and my choir did this lol breathtakingly beautiful
Amazing that a high school sounds this good! They must be very disciplined and focused!
My choir sang this song last year. It was amazing, when we sang this....the expressions on every persons face when we sang this song just showed how much music means to everyone of us, that our pain and afflictions can not even be expressed through words...but through song. Utterly amazing performance. So on-key, the harmonies shine!
The honors choir at my school did this and I have to say, every choir I’ve heard do it sounds like angels bringing us up to heaven.
Also whoever dislikes this:dishonor on you! Dishonor on your family! Dishonor on your cow!
Dang, the bass's sound really really good! Good job tenor's for extending their range. This song is an overall easy piece, but very satisfying to sing.
