Very helpful video. I was wondering how to publish in India for an Indian audience, and at the same time sell on amazon. You answered my questions, thanks!
Sir, I have published my book on amazon kdp (both ebook and paperback). Now, I want to publish paperback through Notionpress in India. I want to copyright my material from Indian official site. Will there be any problem in acceptance of copyright as my book is already released on amazon??? Please help Sir if you see my comment....
Great video. Very informative and cleared all doubts. Quick question - Can we use KDP free ISBN for notionpress or do I have to use another ISBN. Because I already published my book on kdp and looking forward to publish on notionpress for indian marketplace only. Would greatly appreciate your recommendations on this :)
Hi Rimpledeep, an ISBN holds good only for one format on a specific platform. These are bound to be unique numbers identifying a specific version on a specific publishing platform. So, in light of this, we cannot use KDP's free ISBN for Notionpress. It has to be a different and unused ISBN exclusive for your book sold through Notionpress. Thank you for the kind comment and watching the video, Rimpledeep, glad you found it informative! (pls subscribe, and keep asking questions) :)

Nice video. The "Still good for 2022" was a good addition :-) A couple of questions if you can answer If I use KDP to publish an eBook and only want to publish my paperback outside India (say UK), then I can use KDP for it, correct? When you publish a eBook on KDP, how do/did you market it? How do you get people to know you exist and more so have actually written something. How do you even start getting some sales of the eBook 🙂
A very thoughtful question and comment, so first of all, thank you for that! Let me take a stab at both your questions and this is purely subjective and can differ for every person. 1. Yes, you can use KDP to publish an eBook (for India) and then use it to publish Paperback for all other marketplaces (UK, for e.g.). 2. This is a huge topic and is all about marketing our work in the noisy world. I'd recommend creating media content (blog posts, social media content, videos, podcasts and everything you can), put out for free for people to consume, in your chosen niche. This creates an "audience" who gets to know you, your works, your style, your contributions in your niche. This makes us "an authority" in our niche. Once this happens, and if people love what we do, we can start introducing our paid books and works to them softly and/or they start "Googling" or searching for more of our content. That's the day everyone in the world will call an 'overnight success'. This way, we start to 'exist' in the minds of people. Having said that - eBooks can easily get us there quicker. This is a proven way to establish authority in our subject/niche. Even if nobody notices or purchases, keep creating similar content in all formats, have your own website with related blog posts gaining visitors, optimizing them for search engines, as well as for people. This could also bring people to find our older eBooks and other related content. It's a fine balance between quality and quantity. Additionally, advertising is an altogether different monster that takes money and will get us some interested people our way. But for them to stick, again, we should have already created an ocean of content. Imagine, we go to a grocery store and find 1 or 2 products on the shelf but otherwise all-over empty shelves. On the contrary, imagine entering a store with loads of good stuff to buy on the shelves - it subconsciously creates a sense of 'rich' and 'abundant' content to consume in the minds of visitors. Now, add social proof (# of visitors, buyers, likes, subscribers, reviews) to it - it becomes an automated content engine. Now, this might seem partly like a rant, but hope you find some usefulness. Thanks for reading! :) - Arun from Tech Library TV
