How to tell a story with one image

- My formula for telling a story in a single image.
Theme + Narrative + Reason
Obviously, you don't often want to tell a whole story in one image. But this works for a scene, a book, a movie, whatever.
I use three elements to tell a simple story (which is all you can expect to do in one image.)
Theme: What's the image about?
Narrative: How does that change?
Reason: Why does it change?
To remember it, I've shortened it to "This changes because."
These elements are inspired by Robert McKee's framework for a controlling idea. He writes about "value+change+cause" which means more or less the same thing.

I like that your tutorials are more advanced stuff and not the same basic tutorials like the millions out there already. Keep it up. There are not enough channels like this and the few that are advanced are poorly taught or boring or poor quality
I've heard the story trope before, but your breakdown really added a new dimension as to what and more importantly, WHY it's crucial to any art form. These three elements when done right never miss in evoking some sort of emotional response in people and are therefore more engaging

Wow, I've been sat here with creators block for weeks and this video just caused an explosion of ideas. I knew this concept but have never heard it explained in such an insightful way.
this is just pure gold, like when I finally realized that doing something without reference is like trying to build furniture without a plan. It might very well end up in something interesting but the odds that it will end up as something you'd actually enjoy is so very small. For me, this helped to crystallize that process a bit more, or even to think about the process.

Doing this with AI clearly shows that you are lacking the skill or motivation to create content yourself. It's insulting to show this AI garbage as if anyone has actually created anything.
You're right! I do lack the skill. I wish I were good at drawing, so I could give even better examples. But there's no need to be rude about it.
It's all about time management. Now if you have all the time to do what you want then good for you, but most of us have very limited time available. He is using Ai just to concept his idea and help visualize the theory he is talking about. Now you should thank him for sharing his experience and knowledge instead of mocking.
I think you missed the point of the video. It's about the process not the tools.
