Hi my name is Lilly and I am an American expat living on the island of Koh Samui in the gulf of Thailand for the last 9 years. My husband is Thai and his name is Wat. We have two boys named Luke and Leon and a new baby girl named Lyla. Nam is our Nanny and she is like family to us. She is from Myanmar and has worked for us for over 7 years.
Your son Luke is so smart and talking like an adult. His trip to the US improved his character and the social interaction is excellent. Thanks God for having your husband back.

My father died just before Christmas last year, and I have recently been crying when trying to talk to people about him. Grief takes awhile to get past. Praying for you all.

I thought I was being strange thinking that Lila looks like Leon, not Wat or Lily, but if we agree that Leon looks more like Lily than Wat, then I guess Lila looks more like Lily's side of the family. I'm stopping now that I have seriously confused myself. In any case, they're all three precious individuals.

Ive read others comments that are both uplifting & harsh. 'Lily's life' is just that: A LIFE w/ up's,downs & in betweens! Of course there is a whole psychology there but I find it fascinating that Lily was able to create this successful life in a foreign country no less! Lets support & celebrate her life! Interesting view point. I'm married to a Japanese and we have kids and I honestly never thought about these issues regarding Lilly's life. Since I am American I would say there is less of these issues in Asia and much more of these issues in America. However for mixed kids there seems to be an issue with people in both Thailand and Japan thinking they are not true Japanese or Thai because they are mixed. In Japan mixed kids are called "Halfu" meaning half-n-half.
