    Very nice demo and explanation Madison 👍 The Sthil MS250 seems to be a real nice saw and light. We are becoming big Sthil fans, in our house. That saw might be in our future. Thanks Ross and Madison 🎵🎶🎵👍

      Excellent! And thank you! Funny story, after we made this video, I thought I was a pro, and went to use the saw after a few days, and I couldn't figure it out, so I watched my own video! Lol. I really like both saws, and carry my Milwaukee around in my Zero-Turn mower to cut limbs that are right at eye level. Very handy to just press the trigger and go, but it can't run all day like the MS250! Have a great weekend.

    How's she goin'? The MS250 is a great mid sized saw for sure. I bought one just after Hurricane Fiona blew through and it paid for itself in one week!! Nice demo of how to start it too. I struggled to get my saw started and this instruction is perfect as this is the only way to get the saw to go! Thanks and take 'er easy!!

    • @RossOnTheLand
      @RossOnTheLand  3 месяца назад

      Absolutely agree, I've been on a battery chainsaw for 4 years, but I fall behind a bit more each year so I needed a little extra to catch up. Still an amazing saw for odds and ends, just not for taking down and processing about 20 trees I need to do this summer.

  • @WolfMimirMori
    @WolfMimirMori 3 месяца назад +1

    Until we get a new battery system we will always fall behind when it comes to heavier duty electrical stuff vs gas.
    But for smaller to medium jobs battery sure holds its place with the ease of mobility and not having to think about having gas set aside.

    • @RossOnTheLand
      @RossOnTheLand  3 месяца назад

      Absolutely! I just cut down and limbed a big tree, and glad I had the Stihl. Now I can switch to the battery for branch cleanup. Battery has its place as you said. Thanks for watching

    • @RossOnTheLand
      @RossOnTheLand  3 месяца назад

      Ya. It kind of gives against my desire to embrace battery power, but after 4 years, I'm falling behind in forestry management, and I need something I can abuse. Plus Aidan uses the batteries in the shop so they are pulling double duty. Very hard on the batteries.

    Madison did a great job of explaining and showing how to start the saw.
    Where did you buy the saw. ?
    It snowed a little here today. Nothing gathered on the ground thou. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋

      No! No ❄️ We bought it from our local Richie feed & seed store as they are a Stihl dealer.

      👋👋👍🏻👍🏻. And you have to use the fuel from them during the warranty period. ?

    • @RossOnTheLand
      @RossOnTheLand  3 месяца назад

      You should use the stihl fuel just to be safe. after the warranty use whichever fuel as long as it is mixed.
      the warranty is usually 1 year but can be extended with purchase of different combinations of fuel and such. it is also dependent on the model and if it is commercial use or home

    Nice purchase Ross, Madison should work at the Stilh dealership, she did a great job 👍🏻. I find my Milwaukee great but like you said it's not fast and we are limited. How do you like the new Forge battery ? as good or better than the 12amp?

    • @RossOnTheLand
      @RossOnTheLand  3 месяца назад

      Hi Luc, Yes she should :) I'm proud of her! The Forge battery is my new favourite, it lasts longer than my 12mAh now as it's getting... "Tired"

    • @OrangeismyNewGreen
      @OrangeismyNewGreen 3 месяца назад +1

      @@RossOnTheLand Good to know because my 12 is dead 🥴, I wasn't impressed with it. Batteries aren't cheap 🤦🏼‍♂🤷🏼‍♂🥴

    • @RossOnTheLand
      @RossOnTheLand  3 месяца назад +1

      I know exactly what you mean. The Forge is cheaper than the 12 so that's good, and this way having a dedicated chainsaw I won't be killing the battery we need in the shop, and the saw was almost the same prices as a new battery! So no brainer. Plus the Stihl chain is better suited for longer runs between sharpening

    • @OrangeismyNewGreen
