That's true! Great carving Kaylin!
Thanks for the comment Mattia,
Kaylin's carving technique is truly beautiful to watch! 🎿
I live in Austria Vorarlberg and we are literally surrounded by ski resorts. During the season we go skiing every weekend. Sometimes even 2 or 3 times a week. Resorts are 40 min max by car. Not having to take off of work and go for ski vacation once or two times a year is just a blessing. Im so thankfull for that.
Sounds like you live in a beautiful part of the world Hasan!
We hope you had a great time out on the slopes this season 👍
@@CarvSki Vorarlberg is really beautiful and i wouldnt want to leave here. If you havent ever been here i strongly recommend everyone to visit the alps. Especially if you are a skier.
And yeah it was a great season. Many crashes but no injuries 😃 thats the most important thing when it comes to skiing. I like your content so stay safe and keep up 👍
I loved skiing by yourself called a "soul session." Perfect. When I'm skiing, and in the mountains, the world, and my place in it, makes sense.
Thanks for watching!
Glad that this hit home for you 🙌
I feel the same. I feel so powerful, fluid, easy, focused, happy, energized. The joy, energy, power, thrill, elation becomes almost tangible when I ski. I soo agree with every point of hers.
Thanks for watching Zarina!
We're glad this content inspired you ⛷
She is exactly right! We've been struggling with the new shaped skis trying to keep our legs close together. She makes so much sense - stop holding the legs so close together - shoulder width and let the skis do their job. I can't wait to go back up the mountain and try this out!
Hello Jeanette,
We are super happy to hear you enjoyed the clip!
We have new content on the way so stay posted and have an awesome season.
Articulate, passionate, and authentic. Great job :)
Thanks for the feedback!
We are very happy to hear you like the video.
Have a great season!
I’m over 70 now and I still love skiing for just the reasons Kaylin says. I’m not much of a carver but the joy of still striving to improve while having so much fun in such beautiful surroundings is something I never want to give up even if it can’t last forever.
Hey there,
We're very happy to hear that the stoke is still there in your skiing!
There is nothing better than being up in the mountains, surrounded by mountains, snow and nature! Stay out there while you can and we hope that the tail end of this season is great!

The moments you have are forever... imprinted in the environment and broadcast into space as light and gravitational waves.
I felt the same with speed skates, that when you shift slowly your weight to another push, that transition you can make so smoothly that it felt like flying freely. I have found that same feeling with skis too. Skiing is and has been the only sport that I have had a laugh while doing it. And believe me I have done many many sports.
It's a great feeling.
Thanks for sharing your passion with us!
⛷⛷⛷
You are inspiring me so much, not just because you have my new skis! These Volkl Blaze skis are sublime!
Skiing is one of the few activities where you can have so much FUN challenging yourself, scaring yourself silly, and also be totally relaxed in beautiful surroundings, all in the same run.
So true!
Thanks for watching ⛷
@@CarvSki Love your vids - you have the same teaching philosophy that I do - teach the "old fashioned" basics first - snow plowing, stem turns, skid turns, etc ( yes, I was a racer back in the late '60's/early '70's, but not at the level you obtained!), but was away from skiing for 35 years. Once back into it, I was surprised to see so many beginners being taught carving almost immediately, but nothing that would allow them to get down blues or blacks safely if they made the mistake of getting on one! Using your vids now to help a beginner to start visualizing things. Keep up the good work!
Clear, articulate and ...made simple. Sign of a great teacher. Going skiing for first time in 8 yrs next week - we decided today. I started watching your vids...feels like its now weeks since I skied last 😁 Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback Ronan,
We are glad to hear that you are enjoying Kaylin's teaching style.
How did you get on, on your first ski trip in over 8 years?
We hope you had a great time and the skiing movements came back to you naturally!
@@CarvSki Compounded cartilage in my left knee! 😄 ... a days rest later I was back - but slowly...so I took this great opportunity to focus & perfect your technique. It really worked. Home now and my physio has said I'll be fine...in a few weeks!😉
The Andes in the background , I love it !
Valle Nevado really is a special place.
We hope you are enjoying the content and that you have a great season Julio.
⛷️
You read my mind.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Stay tuned for more ski content 🎿
This is why I like skiing better than ice hockey, which I used to play before. You pretty much explained it all.
Not much beats the feeling of ripping up the Corduroy on a bluebird day!
Why I LOVE WATCHING Kaylin Richardson skiing
Happy to hear you are enjoying the content.
We've got more on the way so stay posted.
Have an awesome ski season!
Could not agree more with everything you say!!
Thanks for the feedback Peter,
Stay posted for new content dropping soon!
Loved listening to your feelings
Thanks for the feedback,
Everyone loves skiing for different reasons and it's always great to hear what other people love about the sport!
Agreed.... FREEDOM, that's what I feel when I carve down a piste easing the mind... especially when nobody else is on the run at the end of the day 😉
Or that first lift feeling when the empty piste is perfectly prepared ;)
You hit the nail on the head exactly, Kaylin! I'm 53 and I learned to ski on straight skis, no shapes or parabolics, I was always to told to keep my legs close together. With that in mind, I got mixed results with shaped GS skis, I either wanted to fall over, wash-out, or if I did happen to carve, the skis would snap and sling shot me out of the turn, too fast. Worst case scenario, I would just end up smearing, instead of carving. I overlooked the obvious, thank you for the instruction!
Thanks for the feedback Matthew,
We are very happy to hear that Kaylin's tips hit home, and we wish you all the best next time you hit the slopes!
⛷️
This is soooo goood! Makes me wanna head out right now! Luv ya Kaylin ;)
We are stoked that you are loving the content Tobias.
Get out there and rip up the slopes soon!
same i need to ski already!
I ❤️ skiing!
We do too!
Stay posted for more great skiing content.
⛷️⛷️⛷️
Much better skiing video than some of those uptight level 3 Austrian instructors
We are glad you enjoyed the clip Mark!
Kaylin's style certainly is awesome to watch.
Word- PSIA is the worst. They suck all the fun out whenever possible.
정말 스키는 사랑할수밖에 없죠 항상 좋은 영상 감사합니다
의견을 보내 주셔서 감사합니다!
thanks 😊 for sharing! excellent! l would like skiing right now ⛷
No Problems Sole, we are glad you are loving the content!
Don't we all wish we were skiing right now!
Elegant and eloquent
Thanks for the feedback Leon,
We have a new clip going live this week so stay posted for that!
Great video!
Thanks Richard,
Stay posted for fresh content as we come into the upcoming winter!
She's cutest sportswoman, pleasure to watch her
Kaylin certainly is an awesome skier to watch!
I am struggling.. my best friend that I have skied with since 3rd grade tragically died this summer. I am 56 years old. Idk if I will ski again like we did in the past. Skiing with someone who is the same ability as you who loves it as much as you is precious.
Hi there Russ,
We're very sorry to hear about your loss.
The memories we share with others on the slopes are so special.
Wishing you all the best to get back out there and keep the passion alive.
cool .....
Very Nice :)
Thanks for the feedback Vangelis,
We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed the clip of Kaylin ripping it up in Chile!
Hi Kaylin, great video! How much weight you put on your inside ski while carving?
Hey there,
Kaylin talks specifically about pressuring your skis in both of the following videos so check them out for some further insight:

Keep your motivation up and have an awesome winter!
Hello, you have a very nice coat, I also like the HH jackets and trousers. Can you give me a New Year's Gift coat
Nice video, but what is that place? Looks intresting, not too much snow though.
Hi there Sampo,
This video was filmed at the beautiful Valle Nevado ski resort in Chile.
Unfortunately we were met with some of the worst conditions of the decade.
We made the most of it, had fun and would still recommend going skiing Chile if the opportunity ever arises!
Carving is the Holy Grail of skiing
You got that right!
It's a good feeling.
@@CarvSki How do I go from beginner pizza french fry to carving?

Inspirational Jon,
We'd love to do a 'Why I love skiing' video, with the above explanation!
To carv is just like to fall in love... with Kaylin 💖😂
We all love carving it up
How experienced skier I need to be before starting to learn carving style?
Great question Joke,
To take your skiing to the next level up and start carving, one must first feel confident linking parallel turns without slipping back into a snow plow.
The speed of progression varies vastly among skiers, so take it at your own pace, use these great tips from Kaylin and make sure you enjoy the experience of developing your ski technique!
I'd say not too easy for beginners unless you have a low traffic/private slope available and a month to practice.
Where is this empty resort?
Hello Parker,
This was filmed last August in beautiful Valle Nevado Chile!
Have a great ski season.
song at the end?
Hey there,
The song is
Midterms by Soulish!
Where is this?
Hi Andrew,
This was filmed in Valle Nevado, Chile!
We highly recommend making the trip out there is the opportunity ever arises to do so as it is a beautiful part of the world.
What kind of ski is she riding?

Thanks for clarifying Rokas.
You should learn to surf, I ski as well as surf, but surfing feels even better than skiing, trust me 👍
