One thing worth noticing is the Worker Skill Change UI can got the bug when: > You accidently click on skill A, despite the skill doesn't glow up, the game think that you chose skill A. > When you choose another skill, e.g. skill B, the game still think that you chose skill A, so skill A will got rolled off instead of skill B. The method I'm using to avoid this bug is always make sure the skill I want glow up in the first time I click it. If it doesn't, close the skill change popup and reopen it. Hope it helps :">
Great information as always! I haven't looked too far into the workers yet. I've just been trying to get the best workers on the useful/best nodes atm and get them to artisan. This is very helpful and will put it to use once I start trying to min/max more once I get the rest set up!
Just as an addendum, the 3rd, yellow column when looking at the region resources is for Investment Banking. That thing no one should've touched anytime in the last 5 or so years.

If you could somehow reach high enough workspeed for some of the excavation nodes to be completed in fewer ticks then workspeed past 150 matters :) Just a small caveat to this great and compact overview. They should include your guide in the gane for new players, nothing teaches you about how all this works 😢

I love your posts Summer. If I may contribute to the discussion, here are some small issues I encountered with workers and workshops. 1). Massive projects like forest wagon construction seem to have a mechanic that limits the number of jobs you can do in a session. This limit is defined by current worker stamina. If you log in once a day, there may be a scenario where you’d be better off with humans or giants. But if you log in frequently then goblins seem to be supreme. 2) the thrifty skill needs to be understood. It’s proc only seems to value if mats used are greater than 10. 3) I don’t know if the mount knowledge skill makes the worker work better in ship construction or if it only works on ship parts?
How exactly does the lvl 40 skill "Deliver good to chosen storage" work. Does it essentially change the city the worker operates out of? Do you have to have that city connected to the node the worker is working on? For example could I make all my Altinova Aritsan workers work out of Tarif b/c its closer to so many nodes they work on? Or does it just make them drop off the goods in the storage of your choice to keep everything organized? Which is also really good tbh.

The talent speed increase does not show when u assign a worker (eg abase worker speed of 145 + farm speed of +5 will show effective speed of 150)... talent speed increase does not show here. WHAT I SAW HAPPEN WAS a. A job showed a gob would take 3 ticks. B. When I pressed start work, the job actually TOOK 2 ticks. In other words, the theory is the goblin talent work speed increase is added after you press start work (and the addition of the talent speed might bring it down a tick). So the question is (that I don’t know) is how much work speed increase does goblin talent add.
Goblins have higher sheet work speed. That's all there is to it What happened for you is probably that the worker's skills put him over the workload threshold (skills are not included in the sheet stats)

You would want to hit the workspeed breakpoints, just like with nodes. The breakpoints depend on the crate, most common crates have 225 workload (2-cycle with a >=112.5 workspeed goblin or human ), 150 workload (one-cycle with a >=150 workspeed goblin) and something like 75 workload (not sure about exact value) which any artisan worker can do.
what about the workshops for crates and such... we do need workspeed aswell ? movement speed ? obviously the ADv packing skill is a priority but except that and the thrifties what else would be a priority ? ty
Workspeed is important, the same workspeed-bracket logic applies (crates tend to have either 60 or 225 workload). For crate workers, priority is packing skills, then thrifty, then movement speed

If you don't process you can sell the mats raw. Most timber and ore nodes are very high income, even if you don't plan to process the mats. You can focus on simply picking up high value nodes.
Great worker guide i had no idea about how the workload was actualy calculated. As far as we know, humans are not worth it in any node, eve for the lucky drops, the goblin competing the cycle fater is probably better in the long run. One thing i wished you talk about is how crafting works whith workers. What is the best worker for a workshop? I assume the goblin since the giants dont realy have a bonus, but i could be wrong.

According to shrddr.github.io/workerman/plantzones, humans are rarely the best worker. They can make sense if you value the lucky procs highly, but even then, goblins and giants are often still better. I would only get rid of a human if goblins/giants significantly outperform them, otherwise, it's not worth the hassle IMO. You can compare workers by hovering over the worker icon on the site I linked.
God i need this guide so much ! Btw, if you reroll and get craftmanship skill on a level 40 workers, is that gonna work ? I mean is it level 40 x 0,2 or we get the 0,2 WHEN the workers level up only ?
And if you are truly OCD about your workers like I am, then do not level them pass 30 until they get Blessed Hand, Craftsmanship (depending on what you are going for).
Before the worker update, some nodes would have the regular items mirrored in the lucky table and some had no lucky drop at all. The worker update introduced the sacks.
From what one person I saw saying, supposedly once you hit level 40 on a worker it takes a lot less exp to reach each percent for rerolling skills. No idea how true that is though.
some guy on reddit... As far as the patch notes go, EXP is the same from lvl. 30 to 40. In the same thread you'll find Goroshi, an authority on workers, confirming that.
Would you happen to know where a datamined resource on that could be? I'll take your word, although I would also like to confirm it myself but can't find any good datamined charts on it.

wtf. How do you know all these stuff? I thought those resource columns on the world map was about farming crops. Does the game in any way or shape explain these things in a tutorial or something? I am playing since release and never knew the relationship between resource level of a certain node and the workload. What a huge ass game... still have no idea how sht works...
May be mentioned in the ingame wiki, it's actually a decent source. I picked up a lot of info by watching guides (Morrolans advanced worker guide back in the day) and following the worker discussion in the lifeskill Discord over the years.

The worker drops off the goods in the designated city after he's done with the task. Happens instantly and no node connection is needed.
