Please don’t take this the wrong way but try to be with your Mom for Christmas. I didn’t go home every holiday while my Mom and Grandma were alive because I live 3 hours away and didn’t want to drive. I would give anything to be able to drive 3 hours today to spend one more holiday with them! I know it’s hard when we are all so busy working & don’t live in the same town or even the same state. Maybe you & Molly can drive half way to meet your Mom for Christmas at least for a few hours or maybe split a hotel room 3 ways. I took 2 weeks off during Christmas once which I had never done in 25 yrs of working. I was taking one week off but decided to take another week off at the last minute for Christmas. We surprised my Mom & my Grandmother coming home a week early. I told her we were home for 2 weeks and she started balling. My Mom died unexpectedly one week after I got home from going to visit her & my Grandma for 2 weeks that Christmas. So grateful I took that time off! My Mom was gone the next Christmas & my Grandmother was put in a nursing home so our Christmas has never been the same since that last one we got to spend with them! One day it will be just you & Molly & spending time with your Mom for the holidays won’t be an option! I don’t think you will regret spending Christmas with her even if you have to drive for a few hours! Our Moms are worth it! Hugs to you, Kody, Molly & your Mom! ❤
I understand what you're saying. I get it. But, i did invite my mom. My sister and i both work, and i do deliveries, i drive quite a bit further just to get to Walmart, than i did when i lived in TN. Gas is 30 to 40 cents more here as well. I simply can not afford the extra gas money and wear and tear on my car to drive up there as often as I'd like. My mom is retired, and can drive here anytime she wants. I've invited her. She does not like to drive up here, i don't know why . Gas money is not an issue for her. I get up there when i can. I also can not stay with my mom as i was told last time i drove up there to take Kody to the vet, her manager at the apt said no dogs at all, that's why i then had to get a hotel room when i thought i could stay there a night or two. I'm thankful for the time i could go see mom at Thanksgiving and Christmas, when i lived close by . My mom was actually the one who pushed this whole move away from her. Not the other way around. But, i understand what you mean. I just try and make the best of the situation I'm in. I'm even farther from my daughter and don't get to see her either. It's a tough time of year. I'm really glad i have Kody. He's a constant in my life. And i love my yt friends I've made here as well. You guys help me more than you'll ever know. 🥰🤗have a great weekend. 💙

Happy belated thanksgiving! Idea for next time...cut recipe in half. Is the new way with tiny homes. I do it all the time when I'm camping. I make recipes for two so I have a 2nd meal...ok back to the video...wow Kody loves his blabkie!❤❤❤
I'm glad you have your sister close by so that you could have Thanksgiving together. We had a quiet day here with the usual simple meal of turkey (free from my husband's work), mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, butternut squash and biscuits and pumpkin pie for dessert. I made it all except the biscuits are from Pillsbury and they were quite good, actually. We lost our little Rylee (our oldest black kitty at 15 human years) 2 days before Thanksgiving. She had heart disease, and we had already been treating a thyroid issue. The vet had removed the fluid from around her heart 2 times already, but she didn't survive the last attempt. She was such a sweet, delicate cat and I miss her so much. We have 3 others, which of course I love as much as Rylee, but for different reasons. Rylee was an exceptionally smart cat, and she held a special place in my heart. Molly's prayer was nice, and your dinner looked delicious. People in regular kitchens sometimes yell while cooking also. We have a galley kitchen, and I appreciate my husband's help, but sometimes there just isn't enough room to navigate. Give Kody and extra hug and snuggle for me.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Rylee sounds like she was a very special cat. 🩷🙏It's so hard losing our pets, especially at the holidays. I'll keep you in my prayers. It sounds like you had a good, yummy Thanksgiving!! I hope you enjoy your weekend. 🥰🤗

Happy Thanksgiving two days late, lol! I love that recipe. I've also tried a couple different variations of it. One recipe called for a 1-2 lb. bag of hash browns, 1 can cream of potato soup, 1 can of celery soup, and an 8 oz. container of French onion dip and then doing the shredded cheese & corn flakes just like you did. I think I'd still prefer the cream of chicken soup over the potato soup but that's a recipe you can try different things to your own taste. I think your way is best but you might try using the French onion dip sometime just to see if you'd like it. I really enjoy your cooking videos & they always make me hungry!😋

My hubby likes mashed potatoes but he would really like this! I’m going to have to try this. And yes you do need a big mixing bowl. You could store it in the area above your couch or hang it on your wall. Or find one that is collapsible. 😊maybe put it on your Amazon wish list 😉 and your sister is so pretty! That dish is called Funeral Potatoes because it is a favorite dish to prepare to take to family dinners after a funeral for their loved one. It is delicious!

My hubby likes mashed potatoes but he would really like this! I’m going to have to try this. And yes you do need a big mixing bowl. You could store it in the area above your couch or hang it on your wall. Or find one that is collapsible. 😊maybe put it on your Amazon wish list 😉 and your sister is so pretty! You are so blessed to be able to spend it with her. Mine is gone and I miss her so much. Cherish every day with her ❤ and she has done a fantastic job of decorating the tiny 😊God bless you both!!!
