I like having random hobbies and I dont feel a need to monetize it. Like biking, journaling and hiking are some of my fav hobbies and I love it so much!!
Lol influencing is a job in itself. It requires organization, negotiation skills, creative direction, time management, money management, and so much more.
Loved this!! Definitely agree on the hobby thing. I think there’s this huge focus on creating multiple streams for yourself and that’s all we’re focused on 😭
I so agree with the bit about hobbies. It's so tough out here that everyone HAS to have a hustle, but I think we could all use a hobby that is just fun and therapeutic.
It’s so true! Putting pressure on your hobby to make a living adds a whole new level of stress and tends to take the joy out of it! If you haven’t already read it, Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert was really enlightening for me.
Agreed about your first point about hobbies! I just made a video about this topic because I 100% agree- our generation doesn’t really have hobbies anymore for the sake of doing something just for fun because there is so much pressure to make money otherwise the hobby is considered a “waste of time” by friends or parents 😅
Addison Rae deserved it and I work in journalism. Anyone upset should focus on growing their social media presence but so many who work in traditional media, even the young ones have a really old school mentality that social media is less than tv...
I think something else to consider is that many people cannot afford to have hobbies. If e.g. you wanted to play tennis, you need to buy equipment, pay for classes and court fees every week and also need to have the free time, which is amazing if you can afford it, but not a reality for everyone :/
Aaaah I hope people still have hobbies!! I agree though, I think I'm definitely in the minority- sewing is a huge hobby of mine, learning tennis, weightlifting, reading, painting. I think certain things that involve the internet are definitely always turned into a side hustle though. Like writers, videographers, photographers, etc.
I think monetising hobbies and them becoming side hustles is more prominent in creative hobbies as I have creative hobbies and my other hobby is playing sports and I can't say I've ever thought of monetising playing in a team sport or competing in triathlons but I have thought of monetising my writing, creative projects etc

I agree. I think this hobbies = monetization is absolutely just an influencer thing, and a small amount of entrepreneurial type people!
It depends on a person. But when there's a pressure; like monetizing hobbies, some might become overwhelmed and their creativity is suffering.
Your voice is relaxing hahah GREAT video!
100 % ! I can't relate with her topic now but I still really want to watch her.
I'm obsessed with her. ❤️
Aw this is so sweet thank you! It’s funny because I used to get comments that my voice is so annoying. LOL
It seems like 2 out of 3 influencers are just overgrown kids

it definitely sucks that a few influencers bad decisions or mistakes ruin how so many people view influencers!

True! Tennis was my example. There’s plenty of hobbies that don’t include money or a lot of money.
Where is the sweater from? I also love the filming background 🤩
It’s really an inspiration your videos ☺️
Really liked this video interesting topic!

no hobbies, all hustle 2021

That’s so true! I guess with sports there is a threshold on if you’re good enough to make money, but creatively there’s more outlets to make money
Natalie I can’t find the pre beta anywhere? Is it on your agency website or….
Rellasocial.com and sign up as an influencer or brand!
low key miss you being in NC
Blame the economy on not being able to have a hobby. Our generation can’t have that as luxury.
Really interesting video :) And I feel like I still have hoobies just for the fun of it.
why do you think more brands are wanting to work with more micro-influencers?
How does she not have a million followers
