It's often said that Fénix is the best wing coaster in Europe. To me, Flug der Daemonen edges it for being a bit more complete with that demonic knot finale, but you can't beat Fénix for forces and pacing. I ride this a fair bit and I always found the G-forces on the right side to be more intense, as I tend to grey out on the right side but not the left. If you're wondering about the dragon: the section is themed to Arthurian legend. Morgana, whose heart is frozen, has taken the form of an ice-breathing dragon. Merlin the wizard has summoned his ally, the phoenix, to ride into battle. Simple, but it works.
I find it very surprising this B&M Wing pulls 5 Gs and has floater airtime, that's actually insane, I don't care how short it is, I will just marathon it.
@@smuella It does in fact hit 4.9g at the bottom of the immelmann, this is a very short peak moment of course. The helix does give 3.5g for 3 seconds consistently. that's why it's more intense, because it lasts so long compared to the peak which is over before you know it.
Toverland is going places. As soon as they build this and announced their plan for the next 15 years I knew its gonna be the best dutch park at some point
Honestly I don't think it's going to be the best dutch park anytime soon, but who knows. At the moment, Walibi is way ahead in terms of their coaster collection and Efteling is ahead in terms of theming. Yes, Toverland does have a pretty good combination of the both but they need some serious expansions if they wanna beat them in my opinion.
I could see it surpass Walibi with their coasters, because Walibi has 3 really good ones and then some supporting stuff, not all of which is great, while Toverland already has 2 coasters on par, if not above the quality of goliath and lost gravity. And at the rate that Toverland is expanding at, I wouldn’t be surprised if their coaster collection would surpass them in the next 20 years. However, I don’t see this ever growing beyond the Efteling. Remember, the Efteling is much, much larger than any other park in the NL and also keeps expanding and it’s theming is still miles ahead of Toverland. (Tho Toverland looks really nice as well ofc)
@@NathanHydra yes, interesting point! But remember, the Efteling isnt allowed much more land to build on, the people i kaatsheuvel are about done with it, and the infrastructure sucks to be honest. Yes theyre way bigger, but, toverland can expand faster and more on basically flat land with no restrictions at all
@@Nikx-youtube true, however, the Efteling did get the greenlight a year or so ago for a lot of new land, partly separated from the main park. And indeed Toverland is in a much calmer location, but I doubt the infrastructure, especially the road network around Sevenum, is suited for a very large park.
Yea, and they got plenty of room to expand. They are in touch with locals they’re a really good company. Although it’s not my home park it’s definitely my most visited and I visited it since like 2012 when I was younger I saw the park grow and I suspect it to grow even more. What really stuck to my mind from riding Fēnix is how beautifully the sun got reflected by the golden trains into the dark station as they entered it, flooding it with this amazing, warm, indirect lighting.
Hello coster studios friends how are you doing Taylor yes i tolly egee with you and i never rode this ride before and i never been there before but it looks like so much fun and how is the food is it good 👍 happy holidays to you guys and your friends and family and marry Christmas stay safe.
I've only ridden Fenix and Flug der Damonen, luckily just a few weeks apart, and I'm also feeling like Fenix is my favorite out of the 2. While Flug is graceful when it comes to taking it's elements, it lacks the punch Fenix gives. The little airtime hill definitely was a nice surprise, and I loved the far right side seat for the helixes. I do still want to try other rows and seats down the line, as I didn't get the opportunity to do so when I was there, but luckily I live close enough to just head on over when the weather gets a bit better again. Toverland, as a whole, surprised me, given it's reputation as an overgrown kids playground. But it way outgrew that and I'm stoked to see what they'll do in the future (like, how will having a Skyfly in the helix affect the ride experience. I've heard good things about it, because you'll be soaring closely past the queue of the skyfly, which is apparently quite the intense near-miss).
5 G's on a B&M coaster???? Now that's unheard of. That's like Intimidator 305 kind of G force right there. Edit: nvm a comment said 4.1 G's but that's still impressive
I loved this coaster. Smooth as butter. great theme, those seats are so comfy. Wing coasters are my new favorite. Also the day i went almost no queue. Not sure its becaus of a calm day or becaus its a family park... Anyway, kids were having a blast. But me as enthousiast for coaster, Fenix & Dwervelwind saved my day. becaus the Booster Bikes & Troy were disappointing.
I love that this coaster is really short. It just makes you wanna re-ride and re-ride it over and over again + the way it is now it fits perfectly in the area and if you would wanna make this coaster longer you’d have to change the whole area as well, so overall I think this is the best they could do.
RCDB is not always right. No way in hell does a B&M Wing Coaster pull 5g. Check Coasterstats POV with forces for the actual numbers (Helix is 3.5-3.9g).
The very last turn, if you're in the left middle seat, you get trown to the right and the train evens that throw out if you know what I mean! It's a very strange feeling
I haven't ridden this yet, I have only ridden 2 B&M wings and these are Swarm and Raptor, this one looks to be 2nd best, I think that Damonen or how they spell it looks better
I can tell you that i rode it today for the first time, on a cloudy day, and it was the first time i greyed out on a coaster. Personally i really disliked that sensation of greying out, but it pulls a lot of G's. More intense then anything at phantasialand, walibi parks or efteling.
@@user-qz2ld3vt2d Really? Why do you hate greying out? That's not a terrible weird thing as I know someone who doesn't like it either but I don't know why people dislike it.

Medieveal section ist not bad explanation but Merlin come on.... its King Arthur inspired there is no Gandalf there 😝 and yes that Helix is forceful there first time ever I experienced some sort of greyout after re-riding it for a bit😵💫

It's at my homepark and rode it a lot. Earlier this year I rode it 45 mins non stop. I dont even get out anymore at that helix😂 It's also still the only wingcoatser I've ridden so I cant compare it to others.
I loved this ride. It's intense but very graceful and gives a great flying sensation. I never greyed out on it though and I rode it three times so it's okay for people who don't like greying out too.
that airtime hill looks awesome. this ride looks short but yet it packs a punch. a wing coaster around this height would fit perfectly at hershey park lol
