  • I love having flowers in my garden....but my arranging skills leave something to be desired. In todays video I show you what I harvested this morning and my attempts to arrange them in various vases.

    So much information and then the description of each flower. What a fun "therapy" hobby. I want to plant so many new ones that you have introduced us to. Beautiful! Can't wait to see your next one!! I'm in Georgia, so the drought season/heat & deer are always a challenge. I have a lot of Holly bushes that I want to get rid of, and how cool it would be to create the "cut garden"!!🌻🥀 And I adore your arrangements. So pretty.

    Lisa, thank you for all the floral advice. I love to do my own arrangements. I did not know about daffodils and how they can kill other flowers. Now I will be more careful. Your flowers are beautiful. Living in Ohio we have had some flowers come up, but now we are still getting frosts. Have a great week. Connie

    I’m not good at flower arranging either. Very often, you can find classes within the community for flower arranging. Sometimes it’s through a college or community organization. 💐

    Hi as iv watched you plant your beds I thought you must be a florist but you obviously just love flowers, my roses were planted out at the weekend into my planter inspired by your raised beds, I have no clue what I'm doing but can't wait fir the summer to see 1 if iv succeeded 2 if iv judged the size and spacing correctly only time will tell lol also planted 5 Dahlia tubers into pots for my patio xxx

      The beautiful things with roses, is they handle transplanting so well, if they don't thrive, just dig them up while dormant and move them again! I'll be moving all my potted ones into the ground in the next week or 2 😁

    So pretty! I did not know that about the sap from daffodils. My husband prefers they stay out in the yard to look at rather than me cutting any of them. If I even cut two or three, I usually hear that I have cut all the flowers! Does it hurt them at all as far as when they come back the next year if you cut too many? Also, I have a full shelf of those “vases” for giving away flowers. They’re perfect!

      No daffodils will come back as long as he leaves the leaves. The flower stems don’t affect the bulbs, they even start multiplying but I have a hard time cutting also so I am just planting twice as many next year… OK maybe 10 times as many😂😂😂

      @@LisaMonique from what I’ve seen of your gardening so far, 10 times as many sounds about right😂! And thank you for the daffodil info - maybe I can calm his fears next spring. 😬

    I agree with you on so many things in this video 😊 I agree with pitchers or urns as well as mason jars for vases. Flowers are beautiful and just grouped together will make a great arrangement , at least that is what I count on 😅 My larkspur is tiny seedlings in my bed but I am winter sowing some that growing not as large as yours. Did you fall sow yours?

    • @LisaMonique
      @LisaMonique  5 месяцев назад

      Yes, they were planted in November. I think they are the Galilee Blend Larkspur. Very tall!
