No one with such enormous debts would be able to get government security clearance, or a job in any type of law enforcement. It's too much of a security risk. Remember, Kushner was turned down for security clearance because of his financial problems, but Trump ignored that.

my only point of personal reference on trump becoming a president once or twice is this; it is harder to become a commissioned officer in the military than president. psych eval, financial review, criminal records check, educational standards, a panel review by your peers to be and finally officer candidate school. all that that BEFORE you get to issue a single lawful order of your own to anyone.

Regarding the interview subject at 1:00, he wasn't tricked. He wanted to believe that Trump won and clung to whatever anemic strand of hope there was so that not only did Trump win, but he wouldn't have to live with the shame of being wrong. Whatever hardship he is enduring, he deserves it. No sympathy.

Every time I see someone making the "defense" that they were too stupid to see what everyone else saw without effort or were too incompetent to do a job that they took on, it really strains my sense of empathy.

When discussing the hush money trial, it needs to be said that it is not about affair or even that he paid her off, it's that he used campaign finances to do so while passing the payments off as illegal payments. He lied to the government. That's illegal.

Last night I watched the movie "Gladiator" for the first time in years (YT has if free right now) and I was shocked to notice that the character of Comitus (the evil emperor) was almost identical to Trump. A man unloved by his father, lacking any of the traits normally considered virtues but claiming that ambition and resourcefulness were virtues just as good. His goal is to take over the Empire and rid it of the last vestiges of the Republic, like the Roman Senate, and has no clue how to actually govern. But he does know how to manipulate the mob by giving them a vision of Roman "greatness". If the Romans had worn silly red hats and chanted "MAKE ROME GREAT AGAIN!" it might as well be today.

At 8 plus minutes into the video there is short segment showing Tucker Carlson visiting a "Russian" grocery store. If Tucker Carlson could read Cyrillic letters and if he knew something about the major retailers in Europe, which clearly he does not, he would have realized that the store where he was shopping is the French owned retailer Auchan. This French company is one of the largest food retailers and hypermarket operators in France, with an extensive international presence. They opened in Russia in 2002 and still have several hundred grocery stores there. To the best of my knowledge Auchan has not withdrawn from the Russian market. If they had, their stores would have been rebranded.

The concern is that trump will sell a pair of sneakers to the leaders of Russia, North Korea, China, and Saudi Arabia for one billion dollars each. A bought and paid for United States president would be a sound investment for any or all of these countries.
