I couldn't agree more! If people want truth and a real insight into what is REAL in the world they need to look and listen and take stock! I think , sadly , that the people, many of them are and have been entitled, spoiled, have suffered so little that empathy is as foreign to them as Mars. Apathy seems to be what is happening and it's so dangerous. The truth can and often is really really hard to take and it hurts, it is sad, it is discouraging.....all the more reason to not ignore it! if the world we want for ourselves and the future of our children and grandchildren is what so many entitled folks enjoy and take for granted, they better wake up because it is NOT guaranteed for anyone without working to keep democracy and human rights.

I think what this moment shows us is the vulnerability of our two party system and the problem of the electoral college. It is not a democracy when a candidate can lose the popular vote by millions and still take power and impose the policies of the minority. We need real election reform: ranked voting to make third parties viable, either abolish the electoral college or make those ballots proportional, and make statehood a reality for DC, Puerto Rico, etc.
Oh dear me... I wring my hands, furrow my eyebrows and clutch my pearls as my tormented mind, in perpetual turmoil, prevents me from 1) living my best life, 2) having agency and 3) walking in my truth as I bend the arc of the moral universe to social justice by boldly taking a seat at the table. Life is so unfair and systemically oppressive; that's simply terrifying because my traumas have become indelible in the hippocampus and I'm a catalyst of fundamental transformations.
