This is nice interview but I wished they also asked about the initial investments or cost required before starting in Axie Infinity? I've heard that many Axie players are not independent/solo players but are "employed" to play. So I wanted to hear whether those interviewees were part of Axie groups with informal employer-employee relations. If yes, what were their conditions on playing and what are the agreements on salary? I also wished they ask other people who doesnt know Axie or who knows Axie but didn't choose to play it.
basically people with extra axies (managers) can lend out their axies to scholars to play. in return they get a cut of the scholars' earning. so basically the scholars are playing with no starting cost, while the managers are earning commissions from the scholars
So this is what I could answer so far as an axie scholar (employee). A manager needs to buy a team of 3 axies for 1 scholar to play. 1 team could cost around 1k to 1.5k USD, but rn with the situation of crypto in general, the value is going down real fast. To give an example, mid last year, the value of SLP is 0.42 USD right now its 0.01 USD. So the avg player rn would barely make some money. I personally had a 60/40 cut and I was required to get 120SLP daily which is insanely high for a beginner/just starting out (the minimum avg is 75 since most players could achieve that). Edit: 1k to 1.5k USD for a team is overpriced and that was the price for it last year, you could buy a team for less than 500$ now
in our team we have Sponsors (they provide money to buy axies) Managers ( they manage the 'scholars' aka the players) Scholars (players) 60% - goes to the Sponsors/manager. 40% - for the scholars. the salary is on SLP, so it's really not fixed and is based on performance
In my perspective, most Filipinos are more open and risk-takers when it comes to these new investment platforms such as cryptocurrencies and NFTs, but this might also be a downfall if they are investing just for the hype or for the hopes of earning huge amount of money in a short period of time. I, too, have invested in some cryptocurrency coins so I know how volatile it is compared to classic investments like stocks and bonds, the highs and the lows are much greater. But I did a lot of research about the organization behind and purpose of the coins I have invested in and only invested the money I am willing to be taken away if ever the value of my investments go bearish (or else I just hold and wait for the right opportunity to sell based on technical analysis and indicators). All in all, whenever you have the plan to invest on something, do a plenty amount of research and try to not focus on one portfolio to invest in, diversify it rather.

I'm so happy ☺️ my life is totally changed. I've been earning $10,250 returns from my $4,000 Investment every 13 days all thanks to Mr George William 🥰
But to start to earn you need to invest real money from your pocket to buy 3 axie, that it's at least RM2000 or $477 USD And you need to play at least 6 month in order to gain back your invesment. Not yet getting profits. you will get better profits after a year.

they are not solo gamers, they are sponsored, BIG difference in the amount of coins/money earned. the solo gamer/worker has to do everything, i.e. buy the axie, train, compete, earn, know when to sell/hold earnings, stake, defi, etc... while the sponsored "gamer" just plays n gets paid. so it really is not a "play to earn" model, it's more of a "sponsored to get a pay check" model until the ponzi money runs dry. they don't have or even know how to make it a self sustaining ecosystem.
I remember playing mmorpg where people use character bots to farm for ingame currency drop from monster and sell it with real money That's why i love mmorpg
It would also be better if they were asked what they know about the structure of the game (how they earn) and the legalities of the game. I would want to know how will the game be sustainable.
It will not. They money initial luckers get, are from "suckers" that come after them. Its classical Ponzi scheme in a new high-tech wrap. Eventually there will be no "suckers" left, and system will crash spectacularly.
There's no sustainability. It's just hope. Hope that another/new player will invest their money to buy (SLP) so you could earn money. With the enormous supply that the players already piled up from in-game. There's no way that coin is going up again
Nowadays its high risk low rewards game due to it being sistematicaly unsustainable. Profitable for the old players. Slp is already less than a peso now and still going down, More punishment will most likely be added but the best it can do is to slow down its depreciation. Investment is great as long as you earn from it.
I'm from Manila and in my opinion, there are more people playing here, but maybe it's good for the government to know that they make money from playing so that the government will be aware of the real issue in the Philippines that people are paid low, so they are looking for a way to I still earn a lot of money, the government is numb here in the Philippines and it's corrupt, so the others prefer me to play and earn that kind of money, but in reality, most of those who play are just good at games and I have a higher knowledge of games. I don't know how to play. It's a game but if I learn that, maybe I'll just play too

@iamsaahilsingh a world where money is tangible, indeed
they are not solo gamers, they are sponsored, BIG difference in the amount of coins/money earned. the solo gamer/worker has to do everything, i.e. buy the axie, train, compete, earn, know when to sell/hold earnings, stake, defi, etc... while the sponsored "gamer" just plays n gets paid. so it really is not a "play to earn" model, it's more of a "sponsored to get a pay check" model until the ponzi money runs dry. they don't have or even know how to make it a self sustaining ecosystem.
*Folding Ideas* made an excellent video on this and related issues. These 'games' and crypto in general, are a scam.
Nft games can be real estate. Specifically the Splinterlands games, you rent out the card that you owned
I remember playing mmorpg where people use character bots to farm for ingame currency drop from monster and sell it with real money
That's why i love mmorpg
Is this a paid advertisement for axie??! I like this channel but shame on people who made this video promoting a scam.
You are stealing money from other players. Don’t call this game an investment. They should call it gambling.
Nowadays its high risk low rewards game due to it being sistematicaly unsustainable. Profitable for the old players. Slp is already less than a peso now and still going down,
More punishment will most likely be added but the best it can do is to slow down its depreciation.
It's a game but if I learn that, maybe I'll just play too
That statement "hindi ko naman po sinasabing mga Pilipino madaling mauto" , well, yeah?
Is 3:02 correct? I thought you could only play if you buy a team from other people?
Welp, crypto got absolutely massacred.
I wished you interviewed more folks who actually know something about crypto. In guessing these were hand-picked but nothing insightful about the content of what they said really. Its just Filipinos liking axie. What else is new?
When was this filmed? If they haven't pulled out they're getting wrecked.
We can't go down forever! right? RIGHT? 😥
Why would they pull out when they are earning more, since they are early investors, they've probably played before the boom in value so they already got what they have invested.
@@123evilwolf Bad tokenomics?

Wow what a nice content indeed , I’m pleased to find such video with such reasoning , Crypto has been one of the Top investments that are Appreciating In this recent Generation , Big ups to Ryan Micheal Services who made me see the future from Crypto .
I agree with you The Content is interesting but it’s not that Clear for Newbies and Beginners to Gain Major facts about the world of Crypto , One thing about investing in crypto is to make up your mind , set your eyes on a goal , on a very serious note it’s important to get certified Broker ( Certified Financial consultant ) Which will be of lot Good to you as a newbie , I’m not against trading on your own as a newbie but it’s very risky and welcomes high risk of losing all capitals to dip
Crypto has helped a lot people out of slum of poverty and unemployment catastrophe .

Journalism at its finist just report the income but does not show how axie economy works. Slp is a utility token to breed axie since devs became shitty in the recent nerfs and buff do you think breeders now will be breeding? And if no one wants to buy slp for breeding and no other way to burn it what will happen? Critical thinking guys if its good to be true then its not
Crypto is banking the unbanked in Philippines. Financial freedom is one click away.
Axie is not registered to legally operate in the Philippines.
Welcome to the internet. They don't have to be registered in the Philippines in order to operate on the web.
They are decentralized dude
My brother plays AXIE full-time while finishing K12 and little by little he's able to help w our home's utility bills, I'm proud of him since he's still have time playing varsity football. There's really a positive impact as long as the players know how to manage their investments properly.
I live in the US. But bless these Pinoys with crypto winter now. Remember : don’t ever invest what you can’t afford to lose!!
they did not talk about the initial investment in Axie,
The perception of Filipinos is that Bitcoin is currently having a half off sale.
These are not street interviews. She picked these people to interview. Go out onto the actual streets, use Tagalog, and see how many people know anything about crypto. You won't have much of a video
Well, I assume people who live in Manila are well spoken in English because of these videos
It is street interview but selected people who knows crypto
@@asahi_ih They're not. Watch the video specifically about English in the Philippines. Almost no one can speak a complete sentence in English. There are only certain areas where people can speak completely in English, but most parts of Manila cant

"Imagine making a living by playing games"? Uhhhh, where have you been? That's like, a majority of RUclipsrs, my dude, LMAO
Different, youtubers make content and put efforts and money to make a video, gamers just put efforts to earn money
Their source of income is different as well. Axie infinity players literally derive their source of income from the game whereas RUclipsrs source of income is not affected but the in-game economy.
But u dont have to be famous. Example crypto royale is free and u can start earning on day 1
And "majority" is off because only like 0.001% make it
Looking at the underlying technology in the whitepaper, it's clear that Axie Infinity just uses the front of web3 to sell its brand and are just running a centralized sidechain. Honestly, I'm sad that such a low quality project has become the most popular game in the Philippines.

Can any Filipinos please let me know if China is still doing what they do in Philippines?
Last I heard, the CCP was funding Abu Sayyaf and trying to illegally annex islands. And to add insult to injury; illegally poaching the territorial waters and dumping waste offshore.
Idk any update about China-Philippines Politics but my Chinese sugar daddy pays for my tuition. Lol
Yes China navy bully Filipino fisherman.Hoping these navies consider that thse Filipino fisherman are only common people.
@@CypressC2j
Perhaps a mutual defense coalition between the countries whose territorial waters are infringed upon by the 9-dash line would help? I believe Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei are all in the same boat with the Phillipines.

Axie Infinity is now dead in the Philippines, I'd rather sell NFTs than play this kind of games.
It's so strange that a few people suddenly switched language in the middle of answering a quesiton!
It's called Taglish, while English is the second official language, it's just easier to speak Tagalog/Filipino, so people would switch
some tagalog words are just too "deep", its much easier to taglish.
@win @Sam Thanks! That makes sense and reminds me of Singlish in Singapore.
Nope that's typical for Filipinos to suddenly revert back to Taglish from full English.
It's called gambling........

Interesting! Would be interesting to see how many women play and earn as there were no women interviewed. The second is and earn and if this is a tool to alleviate poverty--because for a host of reasons, this seems more like a middle class stabilization; possible wealth building disruption. Thank you again for the insight. Raises lots of questions to consider.
It's not the way to fight poverty. Contrary, its actually very dangerous trend and this is the reason why USA and EU is considering to completely ban it. The major problem here is that it seems non of the interviewees realises where this money (that they get from the game) comes from. It does not come from some form of useful production, construction, manufacture etc. It comes directly from the pockets of other players than come into game after you, after you advertised it, they LOOSE money that YOU gain, because you got there first. Eventually, there will be no more "suckers" or "fools" that will come into the game, and the system will crash spectacularly. And the society, as a whole, will loose. At least, if you invest in company stocks, it goes to the company and boosts economy.
@@ScienceDiscoverer Thank you for the clarification....that point on where's the money is significant and also my question on crypto currencies generally.
Many people loss their capital by playing this game btw
They all happened to wear black, white and yellow shirts? BOGUS.
@@EnigmazGuide yes that's what they want us to believe
Neutrals and plain shirts are commonly used today and usually the middle to upper middle class wears it which would made sense for the interviewees who do investment.
