My local yarn store winds the yarn for me when I buy it. I’m so thankful they take the time to do that. 😍

The cakes flew off the winder? 😮 I dunno what type of winder you have but you could be either spinning too fast or making the tension of the yarn too tight which could cause yarn to basically spill out (especially from the center), hope this helps at all ;u;

I really feel that on knitting socks for other people, it’s so confusing to me. The first socks that I knit for someone else were soooo large lol, but I recently knit socks for my brother using a ribbed pattern instead of just stockinette and that seemed helped to make sure the socks fit!
