There is not enough of this type of MSFS on youtube.. its all typical a320 flights.. please more of this bush flying with the Twin otter specifically!!
@@joelthorstensson2772 ….no, they pulled it earlier this year. Yeah, I guess the bn-2, but it isnt all that great, I mainly fly the black square tbm 850 instead. Actually, I would probably pick the Tecnam 2012 over the bn-2.
Thanks for this video. Very conclusive, even if the sounds are not so loud here. But loud enough to hear that they're STILL not able to get the sound transition from idle to full power even NEARLY right. They crossfade the volume of the sounds, but NOT the pitch / the frequencies. I feared it because in the forums, it seemed that Mathijs didn't even understand the problem when several users (including me) explained it. No need for new records, just the need to get the corresponding numbers in the configuration file right. Something you could easily do by yourself in P3d times, when those config files were not coded yet, but could be opened with the editor. They just don't get it. So, no Twin Otter for me. And with this and the past experiences, how and when they fix problems (or not), I'm curious if I will buy any more Aerosoft aircraft in future. Just unbelievable - a year of noise about new sounds, and they didn't fix the main problem.
Glad you enjoyed! Your commented reminded me I have to cover this again, thanks! I remember seeing a sound pack for the twin otter somewhere. Did you check that one out?
I put the flaps down only after I picked up some speed to reduce some of the drag they generate, so I could pick a little bit more speed faster. It was a tight takeoff. This is not something that's done 99% of the time, but for extremely short runways you can begin your takeoff with flaps up and then you apply flaps after a bit. I might be mistaken but some planes recommend something different, I think the Husky's POH tells you to use full flaps for STO... I put the flaps up right after taking off because I had enough speed to start doing so
@@Byemoonmen We thought you were retracting them as you said "Flaps up, up again" :D But yeah, extending them as you've already got speed makes much more sense ;)
@@Byemoonmen Yes I did, cranked the heat as well. just couldn't seem to defrost it. it was only about -12C so not that cold. I'll try it again one day.

I will! I should have another Twin Otter video out relatively soon
Great video and the sounds are awesome!!! Great job managing approach speed! Liked subscribed!
Thanks!
Tbh, I like the old sounds better. More of that turbo prop roar. I’m getting use to it but I almost feel like the Caravan has a better sound now.
The Twin otter has been pulled out of the Aerosoft line, too bad!
I wonder when it's coming back
Man I really want this plane. Cant believe its not available now. I do caribbean island flights, and this plane would be ideal.
It's not available? What do you recommend instead? The BN-2 Islander from Blackbox?

Great video…thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Better sounds are definately cool
Definitely!

Why raising flaps on the ground roll?
Same question

Praythee, where can I get the new sounds? I think I purchased my Twin Otter from Aerosoft.
You should have received the new sounds through an update.
Does anyone out there fly this in cold temperatures beside me? I can't for the life of me get the windshield de-iced.
Did you turn the windshield heat on? If I remember correctly it's near the wipers
@@Byemoonmen Yes I did, cranked the heat as well. just couldn't seem to defrost it. it was only about -12C so not that cold. I'll try it again one day.
That's more than cold enough for FIKI.
Turn the anti-ice on before you enter conditions where icing can occur
In would like you to do this video again, and this time demonstrate the sounds - which this video is supposed to be about.
Is the engine not loud enough here? It sounded fine here but I can tweak the sound for the next time
I try to give almost everyone that's being nice a heart lol I simply forgot, probably hadn't had my coffee yet when I replied at first
best rate of climb is 100kIAS
Yes
wherte did you get the landing strips?
They are both vanilla, no need to install them!
First one is WT86 and the second one WX53
