Totally one of your best showing the complexity of flying as the pilot but ending with a stunningly beautiful timelapse return to the 15% slope.
Best timelapse ever; skirting around the clouds, and then the spiraling in to the landing. The music was the icing on the cake. You are an artist in air, and in editing!
Thank you very much!
The cloud surfing during the time lapse 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah, pretty cool seeing how tired you get after unloading an airplane a couple of times along with the flying. Stay sharp. Epic Timelapse at the end . Fantastic.
Imagine being a child in Papua New Guinea and getting to fly on a plane.
I know you might get tired of the repeat flights, but I'd love to see every one of them. Thanks again Ryan !!! 🙂
Glad you like them!
Ryan that soundtrack for the end bit fits so well. :)
That approach during the time lapse back. My lord. Wow! Mountain, mountain, MOUNTAIN! oh good he turned lol
Wow! You had to work for this one, Ryan. Stunning terrain!
Beautiful country
Love the videos Ryan, YAH/God has made such a majestic, amazingly beautiful planet for us to live. LOVE it, it kinda takes my breath at the beauty, the complexity of all the systems it takes to make Earth all that it is, yet the simplicity of just enjoying it, Love flying with you sir.. From SE Texas you take this 71 yr old to place i would have NEVER SEEN thank you... ❤💯🙏
Loved the video as always thanks Ryan for the multiple camera angles I imagine its pretty harsh to edit all those shots into one
The music during the time lapse was excellent, too.
flight sim has these two trees in front of the landing of Yawan and it's impossible to land it lol
that approach to get on there is insane.
love these videos.
wow Ryan, that time lapse is great!
Absolutely beautiful flight! You make a difficult flight look very straight forward. Impressive skill! Enjoyed the time lapse as well! 🙏
Thanks! PNG seems like a beautiful place with beautiful people!
This inspires me to want to help build those houses! You’re doing great works. 🙏🏻
Great video. Loved every second of it!
That landing was as soft as one of my trips on USAF MAC C-141, they had to wake me up from where I was sleeping after parked, on the hood of a Jeep so we could unload....LOL
Fantastic video and great music. You are the best and safest pilot I watch and perfect check list every time.
Hello, Mr. Ryan. You're my favorite missionary pilot! 😊
Hey, thanks!
Great job great flying.
Of course we enjoyed this flight, and we will too the next lot. Three new buildings sounds like a heap of work for all concerned Ryan, thankyou! :)
I liked the shot of the lik lik manki clearing the pressure from his ears on the landing run. Back in the early 60's I can recal a lot of marsden matting from the war still laid out on the strips here. It would have eventually been recycled into roadworks for bridges etc.
I had a friend who was going to Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Wisconsin who wanted to be a missionary pilot. He was killed while flying over Lake Michigan just 8 miles from shore. His name was Jonathan Leber. When I watch your videos I always think of him.
That's too bad to hear. Flying over water in a single engine piston can be dangerous. We used to have to do it be before my time
Why was he killed?
@@alexanderirungu5626 His plane ran out of fuel and he was able to land it on the water. He was an excellent swimmer and attempted to swim to shore but the temperature of the water was around 40 degrees and so developed hypothermia and drowned.
Great content!! Love it..
You've out-dpne yourself with the music on this one. Sublime.
Impressive
As a student pilot, I could watch you doing weight and balance all day !😅😅Really good to see the right disciplines …especially given some of the flight incidents due from poor checking of weights on takeoff…
Those are probably by far the most common frequent accidents and I mean a lot of that has to do with being complacent flying the same route 100 times but just getting complacent with controls and stuff like that
This is an entertaining educational clip inspires those who can to want to learn to fly all thanks to Mr.Ryan.
I wish I could spend a few days flying with you there. Love doing some of your flights in the sim! Cheers
Very impressive! Great job on that landing! That departure would have been scary, I couldn’t imagine doing that! I get worried just coming in for a touch and go in like 8 knots crosswind, imagine crosswind landings landing at those runways!
it's actually not too bad with a crosswind landing on grass. The grass absorbs a lot of pilot error

Great video as always. Time lapse at the end with epic soundtrack is a great way to end your videos. The scenery is breathtaking.
Viewer from Australia 🇦🇺
Glad you enjoyed it
Epic pretty much describes PNG perfectly, another awesome video Ryan👍
It sure was beautiful out there with all the mountains and waterfalls!
Thanks Ryan
Viewer from Port Moresby 🇵🇬
Fantastic video and awesome timelapse at the end! I think Nadzab is a beautiful airport, I like that it is in a wide open area, a welcome change after landing in small mountain airstrips. I'm looking forward to seeing more of it!
Spectacular views
can’t wait to see the 15 degree slope takeoff
Another beautiful video. I'm always amazed seeing you fly into all these tiny airstrip. You have such blessed skills? May God continue to bless you and your family as you further His kingdom!!
Nice fun flight, thx Ryan. Fantastic view of the jungles, mountains, waterfalls and billowing clouds. It’s hard to top that view.
Good morning from Minnesota USA! Great episode!
I love the time lapse on the way back. The question popped in my mind is how did those people originally get out there in the middle of nowhere? How long has the families been out there? Has it been hundreds of years or is it just something more recent? Praying for your safety.
I've wanted to be pilot since I was about 8. I've been saving up for close to ten years and I finally started my private pilot training a few weeks ago. Your videos have convinced me that flying in PNG is my dream job. The odds of that working out are slim but it's what I will be aiming for from now on. Wish me luck.
Loved the flight, very beautiful terrain.
Nice vid. Really liked the music on that return trip, very cool.
Glad you enjoyed it
Have loved watching your flights and the way you explain things!
As an ATC it fascinates me what is happening on the other end of the radio
Also that music was awesome! Would you mind letting me know what it is, I could listen to it all day!
Breathtaking.
love the time lapse flights at the end of your videos .
Looked like a nice day to fly. Nice editing and interesting content ! Especially like the timelapse ending and its music. Seems a challenging and varied region to fly (mountains, weather, grass runways, international). Hope the commentaries help keep you on your toes.
Epic soundtrack for the time lapse.
Nice place
As always best in class not only worrying about your self but the comfort of your passangers!
Great video and SPECTACULAR time-lapse. That was really something.
Bunch of familiar faces... greetings from yahukimo!
Thank you for your work and for the video films that you broadcast.
A wonderful flight, as well as some fast-paced shots between the clouds, and when the landing gear of your plane almost touches the trees on the tops of the mountains, and the gorges with rivers below, as well as the valleys and the horizon, it inspires me and brings me a good mood. These views are very valuable to me, I cannot see such beauty every day. I wish you, among your bustle and worries as a pilot, to SEE this beauty created by God for your joy - for you.
And if you do not believe in the Lord, then LET EVERY WORK OF YOUR HANDS BRING YOU JOY.
May the Lord protect you.
Sincerely, Vladimir.

Dude looked acared in passenger remeber your flying with captain ryan not RYANAIR LOL 🤣
Awesome job you got there Ryan, I bet it never gets boring. One of my goals this year is to start / get my PPL 🤙just got to budget for it first.
time lapse is great , you flight great too
Great video!, Your set up for camera clips and explanations are top notch as usual MBP.
Imagens espectaculares, mas, muito perigoso.
Parabéns pela missão.
Судя по глазам пассажира он уже попрощался со всеми и навсегда но вспомнил что забыл выключить утюг))))
That timelapse was really great -- loved the music!
Glad you liked it!
Thank you Ryan for another superb video. Makes my week. :-)
I really just watch your videos because your such a good guy. Don't let it go to your head though or you'll lose it lol.
thanks
VS -12. Getting my 55x this spring.
Great video! I've driven across the Markham valley and passed Nadzab many times. When I was there, the Lae airstrip was still open, so they weren't really using Nadzab. Viewers will probably be interested in the war history there. 👍
I only know some of the war history in very select areas of PNG
@@MissionaryBushPilot ahh, well Nadzab was a major Allied airbase during the war. There had been a grass strip there, but they improved it and beefed it up to a total of 4 runways hosting both bombers and fighters. If I remember correctly some of the embankments they used to protect the planes were close to the highway and we used to stop and play in the area whenever we were driving to/from Lae. You should be able to find more details with Google. Thanks again for the great videos and the reminders of where I grew up👍
Love your videos and the mission you are supporting.
LOVE the music and timelapse at the end!
The music is awesome! It's a piece called "Dawn Raider" by Tristan Barton. It's very fitting for an epic timelapse such as this.
Great to know that missionaries are fulfilling the commands and going to all the world! Even to a very remote village. Will the have a school there too?
There actually is already a school there
Enjoyed this video. Nice to see what you guys do.
I’m guessing this won’t be an ‘uphill’ takeoff!🤪
wow very interesting content friend
Most of us have same thing different day jobs. I’d think you’d be greatful to help with that project. Maybe not. ?
Always enjoyable to watch!
Glad to hear it!
I wish you would talk to/acknowledge your passengers, and also explain more about the mission and the economics of flying wood out a little bit at a time.
They dont know english, and my pidgon for conversations isn't that good
Are all flights within the island VFR ?
Could you make a step by step small tutorial on cold dark start ! 😊
Booster seat needed for small kids in the back, so they can see out.
Is that time lapse song from The Heart of Man? It sounds so familiar
Almost trimmed some hedges there at 21:50!
i love these vids so much. does anyone know what headset Ryan is using all the time?
I was wondering what your passengers think about you talking...to no one. Do you ever have them ask questions? Cheers from Winnipeg.
I let them know what I'm doing. And most wouldn't feel comfortable just chatting.
I think the little munchkin was definitely having some ear pressure problems.... You should talk to the locals while flying they look like good people... Plus maybe they can tell a story or something....
I have thought about it, but putting up subtitles for a full conversation will add at least an hour of editing. That's one of the reasons I don't
I noticed nadzab is fast growing airport
yes, now an international airport I believe
would be nice to see when you are doing your flight simulator training and have some opportunity to learn IFR, thank you I like very much your videos....
Where did you get that music from in the time lapse Ryan? EPIC!
artlist.io/
I like to follow along on Google Earth, but I can't seem to find Yahwin (don't even know if I'm spelling it right, Yawan, Yahwen, etc etc). Is it approximately 6° 8'3.66"S, 146°50'38.07"E ? The G.E. image isn't great there but looks like there's a strip in a valley with waterfalls, more or less due north of Nadzab.
It might be better on Bing or apple maps. It's spelled Yawan
@@MissionaryBushPilot it's exactly where I was looking! I got that from using landmarks from your video. Awesome. I'll have to look at other maps to see if there are better aerial views.
Mapcarta will find it for you and shows the airstrip in the right place.
Yes, that's it. The image is map map imagery :)
Great job! What app are you using for your W&B calculations?
Flightspan
wait I cannot fathom 15% slope in a regular DRIVING scenario let alone taking off and or landing.
It feels pretty steep at first
🙂
I recreate your flights on MSFS 2020 ! Do you train or fly in simulators too?
I do my recurrency ifr training in a simulator, but that's it
@MissionaryBushPilot nice ! Great video man !
Hey! What is the ICAO code of this airstrip?
ayyw
flying wood out to the forrest is a bit weird why not bring gear to make planks there?
Not the right kind of trees in the area, land disputes 🤷♂️
Or use tents
My question is. you working in Papua New Guinea and serving those people cause they don’t have a cars or road and they pay you ??
I work for a mission organization called www.ethnos360aviation.com
@@MissionaryBushPilot you do great work. I am quite amazed by your skills and your service. God bless you brother, I'll see you in the Celestial City.
DUDE! Why "Missionary Pilot?" You ain't no Missionary. Did you go to Divinity School? If you did, I take my comment back. Blessings.
who pays for all this fuel moving 2000 pounds of lumber to a forest?
edit nvm, duh, religious money is infinite
the missionaries we are flying for do
Thanks so much for your content. Allways wanted to be a pilot but never got there, so love watching what you do. Just one question, what is the music you play during the time lapse?
What happened to your wrist watch? You always wear it...
When I'm doing a lot of loading/unloading, I don't wear it because it's uncomfortable and don't want to damage it
