Dear Aditi, Thank you for highlighting the plight of an ignored section of the society. It was really an eye opening moment… i have always seen these tea plantation workers in the background of stories, but never in the forefront. A short but meaningful story. Hope to see your other projects soon! All the best to the whole team❤
End scene gave me goosebumps, how her daughter had to leave her dream behind and work as a tea garden labour ,in order to save their home, and this gonna continue for generations
At first I would like to thank the team behind this creation, this is what exactly happen in tea gardens, very realistic.. i think this is the best way to encourage our youths to fight for the rights of tea garden workers. Congratulations 👏 to all the members engaged with this wonderful video..
Strong message. Also shows the true situation of government officers who have big salaries but can't work any poor people without giving Bribes . common people can give just Curse for this kind of corrupted officer. I thought That's why corrupted officers soon got Diseases because of poor people's Curse.
Even my dad got retired 5 years ago...till today he has to visit gov office everyday just to get his hard earned money....this is so sad state of our country!
Yes Shivani. It’s really frustrating that people have to go though hardships to get their own hard earned money. Sorry to hear bout your father’s case.
Even my dad got retired 4yrs ago still now he has to visit office very often 😕 just to Chek out whether his paper done or not we are surviving on money that we get thru rent that too limited amount 😑
My dad was a pilot for our national airlines in Bangladesh. He worked so hard and retired 4 years back. He is still fighting everyday to get his pension . I feel disgusted to see that an honest man like him has to rub behind crooks to get his hard earned money
We don’t listen to other grief and we expect that our life should be perfect, when its not perfect we keep complaining. Where we don’t care about them.😓😓😓
Being one from the tea tribes communities I would relate the story closely with myself...though the video is short but the pain is too deep...Thanks for choosing the story
What a film! loved the story and the simplicity of the storytelling, without being preachy. Amazingly well shot, I can imagine the hardships of shooting in a real location....
This is so sad, people who work hard the most in tea gardens are deceived like this. I hope we all are able to help such people and the movie direction, narration N acting was so on point, it touched the heart directly. So, disheartening to see poor people struggling like this for their hard-earned money. Society needs total revamp where honest & hard-working people get their due and are awarded rather than corrupted people getting position of power.
First of all thanks to the whole team for this creation. I'm from tea garden and my mother is a Tea garden worker. When my father expired we face he the same thing.
I had done an assignment on the estimation of wages of tea plantation workers. I could not travel to the tea plantation fields because of the lockdown but the data was collected by young boys and girls living in different tea gardens. They shared various narratives. I felt this movie was the extension of that assignment. You have captured the condition of tea plantation workers very sensitively.
Thanks Nisha. Would love to know more about your assignment and the findings. The idea is to start a dialogue and the minimum wages is an important issue. Please give me your email ID and I’d reach out.
Being a tea resident of tea garden I can understand the problem of worker's family .The video is short but deep painful and also relate to me and youths, Well done by team of creators video
Thank you @Aditi_sharma and team for letting people witness about the situation of tea labours, their long time fights for the constitutional rights. There are many issues, this is just a part of that, but media never covers all those voices of the people. Thank u so much for supporting through ur work.
Thanks, to director who has touched pain of migrated ADIVASIs who had come to get a job in tea garden specially from Jharkhand in the era of British and still they are striving for their existence and identity. in spite of being ADIVASI they are not considered as a ADIVASI.. By the govt.
Real truth of the tea garden workers…I can relate with this video..salary is not worth there hard work and even after retirement the so called educated office people make it so tough to get their pension, pf and many other things. These people are so shameless that they expect bribes from a poor labourers, they will not do their paperwork properly till they dont get some bribe amount from labourers.
Congratulations to the team and esp. Ms.Aditi…..Very nicely portrayed….it really keeps us rooted to the ground realities. It really pushes us to firstly think and then work in certain directions in whichever way possible to understand such important yet basic aspects of life, problems, situations ….keeps us connected…really! Thanks for bringing it up ❤
Yep , on Independent India my grandfather requested a British officer for the home which was a shelter for his 12 kids, they approved with working conditions, and many grandchildren flew away but still, we hold the home .. British rules are still Intact ..
बेहद प्रभावशाली, बेहद खूबसूरत अभिनय और कहानी कहने का अंदाज । एक और प्रयास पर जो आंख कान बंद करे बैठे हैं। वो शायद अब भी न देख सुन पाए। Must watch for everyone... Congratulations & hats off to the team ...Aditi Sharma 👏👍
Meri maa ka retirement hue 5 sal ho gaya hai avi tak PF ka by paisa nhi mila hai. Jaise is kahani me Fulmoni ki hai apne PF paisa ko lekar waise hi sabhi Tea Garden me yahi hal hai. 🥺🥺 Kab hum baganiyo ka ye bat sab ke narzo me aaigi.
This is the story of thousands of labour, who doesn't get any benefit from govt schemes just because of documentation. And other things.. They fight whole life to get their right. Sad reality of this society
Thoda seekhna baaki hai jaise wo ladki jo hospital me aayi waha pe connect toota par still very well first attempt best hai Thank you Netflix india for doing this initiative
Actually that scene is like ki fulmati us leader se inspired hokar un Anyay krne walon ke ghar jalati he ....but asal me aisa vo nahikar Paati aur usi thoughts me ...vo faint ho jati he aur hospital paunch jati he ....
Many people in Western cultures believe India only produce bollywood films or soup operas with bad special effects and stup*d " funny " scenes or ridicules histories...yes and a bollywood stage dance song in between, Me as a fan of India, as a let say it : indian born in another womb and country, I am always trying to change that perception from people mind... skipt the comercial stuff, there are very good and interesting films from all genders, and India is a country of very talented people. Great film, India is much more than Bollywood... and I am not saying it against the industry, Is just my not ask opinion. 🤲🏻🙏🏼👌🏼👍🏼👏🏾
Even modiji doesn't care about these people. It's a shame that even after so many years of independence the government of india has not still not given adivasis their basic rights.
Pathetic depiction of plantation workers in particular, and poor in general. It's really tragic how plantation workers and their generations are exploited by owners. Excellent script with equally good characterization and performance.
Hindi blet and upper caste Hindus can't see anything beyond their lives, these films are essential to open eyes and also to see and accept the diversity of our big country.
