Person who often find themselves fustrated with the railways watching videos like this in mind that sometimes it's important to take a step back and just give a level of appreciation for the men and women that make our ways as operational as they are I love watching videos like this keep up the good work
A bit of info below regarding this project being a ex city councillor. This has been in the planning stages for a long time, and now only just getting built. Because of the very poor road infrastructure with the City of Lincoln we needed a bypass built. First we had the western bypass which basically joined up the A46 from the south of the city up and around the city to then meet the A57 which takes you too Gainsborough, the A15 to Scunthorpe and M180, the A46 to Market Rasen / Grimsby and finally the A158 to Horncastle and Skegness. What the county council failed to do with this was to secure enough funding to make a complete dual carriageway from one end to the other. So this road jams up very quickly at peak periods. So we come to the current project which is a bit of phase 2 which will be “eventually” a complete link up from the A158 to the A46 but on the eastern side of the city. Again failure to secure enough government funding to make it a dual carriageway from the start, this will be a single carriage way so it will help once this road is done to try and take the traffic away from the city but not for long. It has been fraught with problems from the original constructor going into financial difficulties to the weather disrupting works which added delays. The video is really good and shows the level of civil work that can be done in a very short period of time from closing the line to reopening for trains to be running again. As for ruining the beauty of Lincolnshire Countryside, when they built the western bypass between the A57 and the A15 they had carve out a complete hillside to accommodate a north and south dual carriageway and then build Burton Road bridge. We have another bridge to construct which will cross the River Witham and more to come. This has to be done as you will never convince people to stop using their cars and the more and more car users we have the more and more we are going to need projects like the above.
Terrific video.! Now that's how to put these together - told the story really well; good graphics, good timelapse segments, good close-ups, good music.! Thank you.
I believe this bridge is on the Lincoln to Sleaford railway line. The new road will be the Lincoln Eastern bypass from the A15 to the south of the city to the existing A15/A158 junction to the east of the city. I'm guessing that the new road will become the A15.
By the looks of the span I guess that a Dual Carriageway will be the next part of the Project, is this all to do with the East Coast to West Coast road link up? Anyway Guys n Gals as always Great Work Well Done!
The bridge was built as part of the Lincoln Eastern Bypass scheme. Currently Lincoln only has a half ringroad that takes you north of the city, the scheme will add another half so you can head south on the A15 without needing to go through Lincoln or rural roads.
JAMES Rivis as a native English speaker blockade is easy to understand it means the total closure of a line in both directions to allow engineering work to take place. Open colaboration means that all the staff involved worked together to complete the task in hand, provided, of course, they had the required training to do that task irrespective of which company employed them.
Пиздец.. у нас бы недели 2 его мусолили, а тут за 1,5 сутки. Почему никто из богатеньких не может закупить технику, и брать проэкты и делать также. Еще богаче бы стал. Чем больше успевал бы, тем больше заработал бы.
No one else is bothered that they're ruining Lincolns natural beauty? The bypass is going through the quarry, the river Witham and all around the Washingborough bike track. Its supposed to be a nature reserve around their. Just build a huge bypass through it all, thanks Lincoln council. This is the best thing you've done since that ridiculous train bridge that you spent 12 million taxpayer pounds on. I bet they have their eyes on the common next, Lincoln won't be beautiful much longer.

Always fascinating how wiggly the rails are when moved and carried loose.
Really?
@@ACERASPIRE1 Yes, that's why he said it...

A great watch. Living nearby it is interesting to see all the planning, work and effort that is going in to this project.
No commnets...flaterred...hat's off to the team work...and modern tools...machines...good luck...proud of you all.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed

It told a story, but didn't really tell me what was going on. Looked good but a narration would have been more effective.
@25 mile
Jason King , I think this video was aimed at people with a high level of railway knowledge , no disrespect intended .
This is a beautiful video! Amazing to see the process. Thank you.
Well done to each and everyone of you...
FANTASTIC.
A great watch! Thanks!
Amazing video
E
Great job...I love heavy engineering...first class guys n gals...Great music btw.
how many litres of washing up liquid used? Would have been a great caption!
Great insight the project
What passageway/road/path/river was to pass under this bridge?
MottyGlix I would say the Lincoln Eastern Bypass... as the title states...

Impressive. When did they pour the new foundations? Looks like they were done earlier, then buried.
See - 'Just like that' ... No worries .. Well done each
If only there were machines that laid ballast, sleepers and track workout all that manual mucking around... 👀
This is in Manchester?
I am sort of a loss of why they are building a bridge there. Is it a highway under pass, flood control? Just curious.
Yea,
WHAT THE HECK WAS THE PURPOSE?
A great video but why?

2:58초에 나오는 해골에 터빈쓰고 수염기른인간은 뭔가? 저기가 뭐 인도나라 공사장인가?
I would’ve preferred an actual time lapse but it’s fine I guess
Spaghetti rails!
Infrastructure improvement. Something you will never see in America.
BAM is Dutch,MAMMOET is Dutch.
Some words do not make sense to a native English speaker, such as ‘blockade’ and ‘open collaboration’. Are they translated by a Hollander ?

Guys why would you build a bridge in the middle of Lincolnshire and it is breaking nature thanks very much
All that effort and a 153 was the first thing over. Was it worth it? Awful “trains”.
