Parrots are wild animals, and they do not belong HERE in our Environment. It's almost impossible to keep these beautiful Wild Parrots happy and healthy in captivity. Please help support The Chloe Sanctuary and other Parrot Rescues in your area. Let's take care of the ones already HERE and STOP making more Prisoners. You are the truest definition of an angel, April.
Much love from Detroit 🤍
We love you overhere. 💚
I hope your flock, mom, friends and family are all doing ok April. The virus is devastating in so many ways. It's going to be pretty tough for awhile I'm afraid! Stay well everyone.
@@wyomingadventures Very sad times. ❤
I can't believe they did that to him😠😠😠
No vet should ever be permitted to remove a bird's wing bones. It should be considered a violation of professional ethics.
It should be a violation period
I didn't even know they do that, I always thought they just cut the feathers which grow back.
Should remove to ulna and radius of the person who does this
@@peterclancy3653 I like your style! An eye for an eye!
I totally agree! It's cruel and a form of mutation.
*"If animals could speak, mankind would weep."*

Too true. It's so sad.
So true! Thank you for posting.
so so true
Nah, mankind is pretty good at ignoring stuff. Humans ignore the cries for help of fellow human ,let alone an animal.
@@whattheduck5833 True. Humans also cry for "help" for profit and other horrible motives. Animals never do. As a species, we're the worst there is. We actively destroy entire species and just shrug.
I can't stand people that get a bird and then get mad when they make noise and fly like what did you expect? It's a bird!
💚
@@ParrotPlayhouseChannel Exactly ! Accept the little things (cats, birds, dogs) for what they are and do. Otherwise get a plush toy
Right??
"iT's a BiRd, KaReN"
@@baronedipiemonte3990 truly said.
My mom is like this, she throws stuff at 2 of my cockatiels can’t do anything about it than to comfort them
I'd never heard of pinioning a bird. Thats like cutting the legs off a cat or dog so they don't run away...totally horrific. I can't even wrap my head around why this would be done.
Its a selfish and cruel act ! If you are going to have a pet, have it as it is (spay/neuter the exception) and as it does. I only found the Cockatoo channels a few days ago and really had no idea just how sentient, affectionate, funny, intelligent... they are. I know that with some birds people "clip" parts of the feathers to discourage flight, but not in a cruel way (like grooming a dog or cat). I had no idea that they were being purposely and permanently maimed and crippled. I have always had cats and refused outright to de-claw them because they are in almost constant pain, and can't say or do anything about it. And the other abuses they are victims of... I can't wrap my head around it either. I'd love to wrap a tire iron around the heads of people who do abuse animals...
@@baronedipiemonte3990 knee cap em, then tie them down to a chair and wrap copper wire around their nether regions and attach to a car battery, they will have an equivalent experience to the animals they destroyed both mentally and physically
Probably because the practice isn't usually done with pet birds since feather clipping is so easy for most people to do.
Pinioning is definitely something that needs to go away, even on poultry farms.
@@baronedipiemonte3990 I'm sure it is in many cases of selfish cruelty, but I also wonder how many people who pinion are doing so because they genuinely believe it's less stressful to the bird than regular feather clipping. It was something frequently done in zoos (maybe still is. I'm not sure) and sanctuaries because the people taking care used to think the one-time stress was the better option to stressing the birds once or twice a year.
I'm just glad there has been more research into it and it's starting to be recognized as much worse than originally thought.
@@baronedipiemonte3990 All those people who work in slaughter houses, chicken farms, the dairy industry etc.
the scariest bit to me was how quiet he was. he literally and physically has no voice.

You are an amazing human to these gorgeous beings. Thank you!!!
Kind of ruined it by naming him Romeo.
I dont know how any 'human' can be so evil to such a loving bird. Thank you to you and your team for your good work!
It’s like declawing a cat. Should be illegal.
YES!
This is horrendous! I never even knew this type of thing existed! Someone removing a birds bones from his wings???!! That’s like removing someone’s bones from their arms!
Thank goodness here in the UK they outlawed chopping the tails off certain breeds of dogs s few years ago. . 😻🐕🐩
I mean.... birds are entertaining but im fundamentally against the idea of having them as pets in the first place.
@@elfedowen6452 When did this pass btw?
God bless you for saving this BEAUTIFUL BABY!!!!! Joannie
What horrible vets would do this kind of mutilalation to any innocent being? The same kind of vets that “declaw” cats I presume?😥
Yes! It cripples the bird for life and creates all kinds of health and mental issues in the bird.
Yeah, cats have that mental problem of "What am I gonna do if something happens to come at me,I cant run up a tree,I can't defend myself.." And birds it's "if something comes after me,I cant fly away from it,wtf am I gonna do?" And both cats and birds live with the PTSD,of the memory of the physical pain this barbaric act had caused and the mental turbulence they went through knowing that humans did this to them. These animals live with quite mental toll.
Exactly!
this should be illegal! So sad that it needs to be though, like you say, what kind of VET would agree to do that???? I mean if you really feel the need to clip their wings, then do that & it achieves the same thing, but without the pain & mutilation. There's no reason for this! I've never even heard of it being done in my country! I can't imagine any vet here would do it
I just did a little research, apparently where I live, primarily terrestrial birds are permitted to have it done in certain exhibition settings, so a zoo can do it with flamingoes, so as to prevent them flying out of the enclosure, meaning they can then provide a far bigger enclosure, with no overhead caging. It's not permitted in any bird that doesn't naturally spend the majority of it's time on the ground or water though, so absolutely no way is it legal to do on a cocky!
So thankful to know these feather babies are safe and cared for now. These birds are beautiful, amazing creatures. I don't understand how anyone could put them through such torture and mutilation.
God I cried and hugged my cockatoo watching this video. Poor baby, he’s so beautiful!
It's so sad.
I feel like his previous owner did horrible things to him and recorded it. Every time he sees a camera or feet he gets frightened. How unbelievably awful of a person do you have to be to ruin a beautiful, happy animal like this! I really hope Romeo recovers some of his confidence and let’s his personality come out.❤️
Same because why else would he be afraid of a camera?
If he can see the reflection, he could be scared of that. Our cockatoo isn’t sure what to do with his reflection, and we know he’s been abused at some point, just none of the details of the situation because he was found on the side of the highway in the middle of winter. He’s also missing some toes, so he might’ve been in confrontation with other birds.
Scared of feet probably means the guy kicked him too 😭
The CRUELness and indifference is unforgivable. 😰😠
Agreed
I agree too. It is horrible how people can treat their animals.
Wish the punishment was stricter than it is today
You got that right!
It turned my stomach hearing about wings being pinioned, what a sick practice! Thank god for you taking care of them. ❤
That should be a crime! I will never understand people who do these things to animals. They must have hate in their hearts. That's awful! I feel bad for Romeo,Thomas and any parrot that has been abused.💔😥
💚🕊
It is very sad💚
💖🕊💖. Thank you for rescuing Romeo, you are a beautiful kind person no animals should be abused or neglected. 💖🕊💖
I didn't know Thomas had gone through this as well, and I can't believe it's still legal to perform such a cruel operation. I hope for Romeo that he finds trust through love, and finds not everyone is out to hurt him. I also am so grateful Thomas has you, and it's clear he trust and loves you very much.
Thomas has seizures and suffers from PTSD from the botch job. Mr. Bueno has come a very long way. When I rescued him he would hiss at me in his cage when I walked into the room. He was terrified of humans and hands! Poor Romeo has so much healing to do.
April, and that is why Thomas is the luckiest lilac crown to have found you! So sorry to hear he has seizures as well, it's heartbreaking. Now he appears to trust you completely, tries to talk and loves to hang out, it's a miracle in my book.
God Bless you and ALL who rescue these Beautiful Creatures of GODS....

I feel so bad about his being tortured.... It is an unconscionable act.... Birds are sweet... Give them love!!!!!!!!
Jesus, that's like cutting off someone's thumbs so they can't grab things.
It’s like cutting off someone’s arms
Legs to be exact
@@idkman8962 I’d compare it to arms, since the bird can still walk.
Its what should happen too people if they remove bird wings. Its what they deserve
It's like cutting off someone's arms up to shoulder, since wings are arms, specialized for flying
Hearing about the practice for the first time in my life, why would someone willingly mutilate a bird like that, that's insane
The vet I work for refuses to pinion wings, declaw cats or any other procedure Doc calls mutilation surgery. These procedures according to her violate the first tenet of medicine. "Do no harm."
Amen to that vet. Now they, and you, truly love animals. 💗💗
My aging cat who I had for 23 years ended up with a really terrible voice - she had a really rough voice already as a young cat, so you can imagine what it was like when she was old - and she was loud, but never in our dreams did we ever think about doing anything to her vocal cords just because she was loud with a terrible sounding meow - it's like just mutilating a child who is misunderstood or different, because it's inconvenient to others. This sort of ''convenient'' way, or w/e sadist way, of mutilating animals should be illegal.
The ONLY circumstance that I can think of that it was ok to declaw a cat was pretzel on vet ranch and that was ONLY her already crippled leg because her claws kept getting caught in rugs and other stuff but she was already paralyzed in that leg anyway so she did get a better quality of life after that BUT it’s never EVER ok otherwise
wish they made that a regulation
I can't imagine anyone who would harm a birb.. they're already pretty defenseless; they must have been a completely scoundrel. I'm glad he was able to have a second chance. Much love
Thank you Hero’s 🙏.
I have a little dove and she flies around my house. She's super confident and sassy and I think it's because she can fly and is a super strong flier, so she knows that she can get away from anything that scares her. When I first got her, her wings were clipped and she was very scared. Now that her flight feathers have grown back, she is a very happy and sassy little chicken. I could never take away my birds' ability to fly- it's the only thing they have to protect themselves with :(
Ppl are fkd up for doing things like these, these birds aren’t their pets, they’re their property. Thank you for trying to make the world a better place.
I feel like a monster when I put my birds in a different room when I'm not having it with their screaming during migraine season and meanwhile there are people out there cutting their birds wings off.
It's so sad
You see, THAT is what separates you from the REAL monsters. Even if you're too ill to be in the same room with your birds, at least YOU'RE not the kind of person to undergo what should be considered criminal operations.
What you do is totally fine. Migraines can be horrible, I got a migraine problem but also have an African Ringneck. She screams sometimes lmao. I understand your pain and you shouldn't feel bad for it
I totally agree. There are good Vets s s there are bad ones. Too many people get these birds as a fade or an object and then abandon them .., how sad! I’m glad there are people hero’s that rescue like you
