My favorite detail of Slayer's design in motion is how his jacket actually transforms into the bats, and so gets smaller and/or disappears entirely when doing certain moves. It's so fucking sick.

I'm not a Strive fan, but even I can admit that most of the new designs are absolute bangers. I think there's only 2 or 3 I don't like.

Xrd's design of him was pretty good, but Strive's design of him is peak.
T8 at least has more than one female body model. I'm not even kidding, T7 honest to goodness had a stock model *every* female character used with some minor adjustments.

As someone who doesnt play tekken, it seems like every character does karate.
Japanese character? Karate.

Prime Minister of Poland? Believe it or not, Karate.
Bear? Straight to karate.

I feel a bit sorry for Bamco. They want Tekken 8 to have more positives outlooks after the missteps of moneytization, pluggers, and Arslan/Knee _"it's not fun"_ fiasco that leads to Tekken 8 got review bomb at Steam. But Akuma trailer completely overshadowed the major balance patch + Lidia trailer.

That wake-up drive reversal change is a bigger deal than people are giving it credit for.
Half the cast doesn't have a 6f medium, which means they would have to start their punish combo with a 4f or 5f light button, and that's assuming the drive reversal doesn't push them back outside the range of their lights. Just ask Chris Wong, who hit nothing but air several times trying to punish UMA's offensive drive reversals.
That makes it a way, way safer option than doing wake up od dp and losing half your life or more.

I remember picking up Guilty Gear as my first fighting game on a steam sale in like 2016 or some shit and trying to learn Slayer for like 30 hours and dropping the game, only to come back around to the genre/franchise years later. Could not be more excited to finally actually learn my 'first main' in all of fighting games (i am a coward scared to try and learn +r)

The Marco Rodrigues trailer for Fatal Fury City of the Wolves was awesome. It's great to see our guy back, and the trailer also provides a new look at the game. They have really improved upon the art style, even compared to the previous trailer.
I have no interest in SF6 anymore, but knowing tokido is gonna be Raging Demon posing again is a welcomed return.
He's gonna have to set up a lot of projectors to make a thousand Tokido shadows...

Its pretty funny that people complained about so many characters having the same body type. Its definitely one of the big differences between casual and serious Tekken players. A lot of the more serious Tekken players fucking hate characters with different body types, because it means your standard BnBs don't work on them, and you have to spend hours and hours learning new combo routes. For some reason lots of Tekken players hate having to adapt to new shit. People have been complaining about Xiaoyu's body-type for like 20 goddamn years at this point.
the serious tekken players also hate most of the new mechanics from the last two games, so it wouldnt shock me to see a neco-arc sized character out of pure spite
I mean the difference is that those small changes can make a huge impact in match ups. You need to remember that Tekken due to being 3D game there a lot more awkward situations that can lead to inconsistency. The game is already too knowlodge heavy, so adding even more required knowlodge may not be the greatest idea.

Bruh I’m actually considering going back to GGST (a game I’m not really a fan of) just because the character I have been BEGGING for since the beginning has finally made it AND he actually had some previous Slayer tech. Ugh he looks so good

Not the first time we saw what happens during a raging demon, that would be sfv, but certainly the first we got a good look of it.
Don't get me wrong, domain expansion raging demon is metal AF, but sfv's horror movie demon is still my favourite as it leaves enough to the imagination.
Honestly the only thing that could have rivaled Akuma or Slayers would have been SnK announcing Nightmare Geese. (And to be clear, even assuming he'd be in CtoW, I think it's way too early to do that. Showing Marco now made perfect sense).

I think Slayer's trailer might be the best trailer Strive has made yet. It's well paced, has great transitions, and is timed perfectly with the music.

Tekken's also the youngest of the games so I don't think they can just reveal an early bomb like Heihachi or something. But Lidia's still super weak. Being paid DLC 2 times in a row is just pouring salt on the wound
I think it's the same with SF6 and GG Strive where the first round of DLC were planned as base roster but they just couldn't put them in on time. Her and Eddy definitely should have been in the main roster and the other two that were leaked
