    Try to quiet your anxiety. You're doing a great job with your videos. I do enjoy the fact you do games other people don't. That's how I found your channel

    In Omaha Beach: The landing beach
    …There were 13 strongpoints called Widerstandsnester (“resistance nests”). Numerous other fighting positions dotted the area, supported by an extensive trench system. The defending forces consisted of three battalions of the veteran 352nd Infantry Division. Their weapons were fixed to cover the beach with grazing enfilade fire as well as plunging…

    I've been looking for a setup video for DDAOB, thank you for taking the time to walk us through this.

    Talk about serendipity. I used your videos to help learn Skies Above the Reich (which were great, btw) and have been wanting to bring this one back to the table. Totally get the trepidation with this game too; once you get past the beach I get a bit lost in the rules.
    Looking forward to this play through. Good luck!

    I'm so glad you're doing this play through! This is a game I have been very interested in. Have only watched through pt 5 so far. Previously I have watched a video of D-Day at Tarawa and one tactic that player used was to attack (with at least double strength, even if lacking the required weapons) in order to disrupt the enemy units and reduce losses from their fire. I noticed you did a lot less of that (at least through pt 5).

    oh NICE - I just watched your SpaceCorp vids and played my first game immediately after. I feel exactly the same way about this one. I do OK with the flipbook but man it hurts my head and I've never come close to winning

    Thx for the Video. Its my first game of this... Its helpful even if you now a little bit from the rules. By the way there is a German rule translation at BGG.

    I've hed that day for a few years. But I don't know why I have still not manage to put it on the table. The same anxiety you talk about in the beginning of the video I guess.

    Hey everyone, I completed this playthrough. I think rules wise it went well! I lost miserably in the extended game. So I’m going to do another campaign tomorrow.

    I really enjoy your playthroughs. Don't worry, your doing a great job. Keep up the good work.👍 How about a B-17 Flying fortress leader playthrough. Would love to see your spin on that game. Like what you did with Corsair leader.

    I tried to play this game quite a while back and gave up. I don't know if its due to a poorly worded rulebook or just way too many rules... I like the idea of the grand scale WWII games, but counter-based games always seem to be overly complex.

    Jeff, where can one purchase those small white cups or trays you've been using?

    • @jtfike
      @jtfike  5 лет назад +1

      Adam I got them from a surplus store. They are old airline trays from northwestern airlines.

      Ah ok I was hoping they would be something I could easily buy as they look ideal for counters. Surprisingly been having trouble finding something similar in size with rounded out bottoms and stackable..
