I would say 10:58 is a very good decision to go around, followed by a perfect forced landing without even a slight damage to the model's structure. Well done!
I don't fly these beautiful planes but I love watching videos of them. This was actually hard to watch (well the one where the guy gets hit with his own plane was hilarious) but you can see how much work, money and love go into each plane. I think this is a great hobby!
Sat here watching yet another crash video feeling sorry for the guys that put all the time,cash and effort into building these machines then BOOM the frigin legend CHARLIE THE CHIMP appears flying into himself, I too so miss those guys and watch there old footage for a good giggle on dull winter days. The Corsair at the 11 minute 45 second mark was very reminiscent of how that plane got its nickname (the Widowmaker)! From what I've heard young ensigns would flip the plane on take off because the engine had so much torque!

Even when you can see 'the moment where it went wrong', backseat flying hindsight is forever 20:20. I can't watch these without remembering the moments I've been fighting to save a model from either malfunction or the damn fool on the sticks (me) myself, big wince.
Frankly, I thought there were quite a few wonderful "saves" that were skillfully handled. The Albatross was heartbreaking. Great videography - cheers from San Diego mate!
2:00 This is a realistic crash that goes to show how being in the back of the airplane is safer than being in the front. The whole nose detached and seemed to have gone under the airplane and to its right and it got crushed in the process.
I think these vids are excellent but if I have one small criticism is please leave out the slow motion clips, people can do that themselves if they want too!
So sad to see these models destroyed after so much time, money and effort invested. But there again I did hear a few chuckles!! (I hope RC clubs have dust-pans and brooms in their inventory).
Sad to see these crashes, but one thing is obvious: Guys building quarter scale or bigger, always underestimate the forces and speeds required for a decent landing. The thing is, a bigger aircraft looks much slower than a small one, just go to big airport and watch an A 380 compared with a A 320 although they both come in at 134 kts or so. And all these landing gear problems.. at least the guy landing the Lancaster did the right thing; he landed gears up for a belly landing. We are all fortunate that most crashes were on the field or away from spectators.
11:08, That's my average landing in bomber crew, but with more cursing at the Huns :D, good landing compliment to however was flying, hard to bellyland a Lancaster. :)
